Civil Engineering works for Linear Colliders* :
-Brief introduction on the overall machine layout (just for CLIC at this stage)-Experimental Area Layout for CLIC-Experimental Area Layout for ILC -CMS concept-What next ?
*CLIC=Compact Linear Collider, ILC =International Linear Collider
J.Osborne & M.Gastal (CERN) for CLIC & V.Kuchler (Fermilab) for ILC
CLIC Detector hall layout developed by :
A.Gaddi
H.Gerwig
A.Herve
CES will now use this as starting point for CE & services design, including cost estimates

2 Detector Caverns (60×28×28m) linked together by a transfer Tunnel
* Driven by Push-Pull concept* Offers stability at the interface between the tunnel and the detector

The detector would be moved into beam position on a moving platformThe concept could be similar to the PX56 plug (2200 tons)

Main Goals of this workshop
The goals are the mini-workshop are to see how we proceed with a design study for :
• 1. The underground concrete platforms envisaged to move the detectors on/off the beamline
• 2. Ground movement / vibration studies i.e. potential movements induced from caverns excavation and detector movement
