Ref: 7th/19-20/1st October, 201
Dear Parents,
We are happy to meet you through the 7th letter of the academic year 2019-20 of our school.
In the backdrop of the materialistic culture that dominates our world, Mahatma Gandhi's idea of simple living, strong faith in the power of truth and nonviolence can be the guiding light for a generation which more often seems to be getting diverted from the road of values and ethics.
As the world is grappling with the challenges of nature and climate change, it is time to revisit Gandhiji’s Cosmo centric approach to human beings to ensure that the contemporary society is able to find sustainable solutions to the ever-increasing problem of biodiversity conservation and greed.
The habits learnt at a young age get embedded into one's personality. AISV makes its effort to bring a difference in its students by inculcating such habits that they become true human beings as per Gandhi's ideology.
On this 150th Birth Anniversary of our Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi - The Amicians are taking a pledge to bring change in others by changing themselves first.
October is a month of festivals. With Navratri and Dussehra, another very special upcoming event for all of us is DIWALI. We request all the parents to celebrate it in an Eco-Friendly way. Gift a plant this Diwali, buy earthen lamps or diya, go shopping with a Jute bag and say NO to plastic bag, celebrate a cracker less Diwali or get eco-friendly crackers.
We wish you all A Very Happy Diwali and a prosperous New Year!
