Orlando dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Knicks, 36-22, and held a 90-80 lead following a putback by Mo Bamba with 9:24 remaining in the game. Fultz hit a pair of free throws with 35 seconds left to trim the deficit to 105-103 and Orlando stopped the Knicks, giving them one final possession to either tie or win the game. MEET THE MAGIC AL-FAROUQ AMINU – Twitter: @farouq1 A descendant from a line of Nigerian kings, his name means “the chief has arrived.” He is a member of the Nigerian National Team and has participated in two Olympic Games (2012, 2016). He also has an older brother, Alade, who was an all-star in the NBA G League in 2010. Meet Al-Farouq Aminu. D.J. AUGUSTIN – Twitter: @augustinDj14 Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was nicknamed “D.J.” at birth, short for Darryl Jr. He spent his first three years of high school at Brother Martin in New Orleans, but was relocated to the Houston area during Hurricane Katrina, where he played his senior season at Hightower High School (received high school diploma from Brother Martin). In May 2017, he earned his bachelor’s degree in family studies and human services from Kansas State before being drafted in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2017 Draft by the Magic. TERRENCE ROSS – Twitter: @TerrenceRoss A native of Portland, Oregon, he was named the Oregon 5A Player of the Year as a sophomore in 2008 after leading Jefferson High School to the state championship. After high school, he attended the University of Washington, where he played two seasons and earned First Team All-PAC 12 honors as a sophomore. He was drafted in the first round (8th overall) in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Toronto Raptors, where he played in 73 games during his rookie campaign. In 2013, he captured the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest at the NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston. While in Toronto, he sponsored a ticket program with LAMP Community Health Centre youth basketball programs.
