Pennant Update

The current Bowls Vic advice is that Saturday Pennant will commence on Saturday September 26 and Tuesday Pennant on September 29. There will be 18 games in the same format as last year.

This season will have a six a side competition on both Saturday and Tuesday. Bowls Vic is also seeking expressions of interest in 7 a side competition on Thursday’s. Cliff Lynch has emailed all members seeking input into your playing intentions and I would ask that you provide these details.

Saturday Selectors Update – John Rose

The new Selection Committee for the upcoming season has been appointed and brings a wealth of experience and youth. They are Cliff Lynch, Bob Morgan, Brayden Ellis, Adrian Ballinger and John Rose as Chairman. We have had 2 meetings and the tick score system has been upgraded. We believe this data is vital in recording player performance.

We will be aiming to have 4 Saturday Pennant sides again this year. We have also developed a player questionnaire for players to confirm their preferences for the coming season. Players are encourage to practice and social bowls on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday provides lots of opportunities. Practice matches are being arranged and details will be provided in due course.

Rough day at the selectors meeting in past seasons
