What is entrepreneurship

• Creating/adding value

• Moving resources from lower productivity to higher productivity areas

• Bring together resources to exploit opportunity vs. pursue an opportunity and then find the resources

• Continuously repeat this process!

Sustainable entrepreneurship

• Sustainability is an opportunity!– Positive environmental and social effects

(products, services, processes)– Saving costs and generating revenues, as

core strategy– More than just CSR: solve issues with your

core business!– Identify gaps in the market, lower transaction

costs, improve information to consumers– NGOs: operate at least on a non-loss basis– Look beyond the traditional balance!
