Based on Art. 24, para.2, and Art. 25, para. 1 of The law on travel documents (“Official Gazette” of

The Republic of Serbia, no 90/07),

The Minister of Interior enacts

REGULATIONS ON FORMS OF PASSPORT,

DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT AND OFFICIAL PASSPORT

Article 1.

This regulation describes the forms of passport, diplomatic passport and official passport (in the following text: the forms) and the protective elements included.

Article 2.

The samples are rectangular in shape, the size is 88x125 mm, in a form of a booklet which is, apart

from the cover, formed of a polycarbonate sheet and 32 pages of the booklet. The both sides of covers

are burgundy-red, while in inner sides of covers, polycarbonate sheet and pages of the booklet red, yellow and blue tones prevail.

The samples are made in accordance with standards ICAO 9303, with the recommendation of the

EC Council number 2252/2004, as well as the standards ISO, ISO/IEC 14443 and ICAO NTWG.

Article 3.

The covers are made of scivertex-secura material on the outer side, while on the inner side there is

protected paper.

The polycarbonated sheet consists of several layers concisisting microcontroller in which the data for electronic reading will be issued according to the law (biometric passport).

The pages of the booklet are made of protected paper.

Article 4.

Printed elements on the cover are in golden letters, while the inscriptions on inner sides of the

cover, on the polycarbonate sheet and the pages of the booklet are in blue.

Article 5.

Together with the space for data regulated by act 24 of the “Law on travel documents”, the front of

polycarbonate sheet includes the space for the following data:

1) type;

2) code;

3) the number of passport.

The front page of polycarbonate sheet includes the space for:

1) photo of bearer, on the left, in the middle, with dimensions 35,1x44,2 mm;

2) machine-readable data on the lower part, under all inscriptions, with dimensions 125x23,2 mm;

3) an image of digital signature, with dimensions 24,3x6,8 mm;


4) MLI (multiple laser image), on the right of the image of a digital signature, with dimensions

15x10 mm.

Article 6.

Pages of the booklet are suitable for visas.

Article 7.

On the front cover and the front of the polycarbonate sheet there is a mark for electronic passport.

Article 8.

The number of a passport contains nine digits and is printed in black on the left border of the inner side of the cover, in the middle, directed from the upper part vertically downright, and on the front of

the polycarbonate page on the place provided for it, as well as the laser perforated number on the

lower part of the pages and the rear cover.

Article 9.

Protective elements, made by offset printing, linear photogravure or high imprint and lamination, are rainbow print, guilloche elements, anti-copy elements, modulation thickness of the lines, invisible

details fluorescent under UV light, hidden images visible under a certain angle (statue effect),

embossed elements, micro-text, IR elements, anti-scratch layer (with dull-glow effects, micro-text and

embossed elements, machine-readable kinegram, a small Coat-of-arms of the Republic of Serbia

printed in line and medal effect, laser-readable layer for data input, digital signature and for machine-

readable data, a mark for electronic passport printed in OVI (optically variable ink) colour, MLI, and a

transparent register.

Article 10.

The samples are made in accordance with the technical documentation prepared by the Ministry of

Interior.

Article 11.

The samples, i.e. the rear and front cover, as well as the inner sides of them, the front and rear or

the polycarbonate sheet and the pages 1-32 of the booklet are printed in this regulation, and represent

the constituent part of it.

Article 12.

.This regulation shall enter into force on the day of being published in “Official Gazette of the

Republic of Serbia”, and shall be implied on the day of implementation of the “Law on travel

documents”.
