Coleridge Primary School Project: Coleridge Primary School Address: Coleridge Primary School Crouch End Hill London N8 8DG Client: The London Borough of Haringey Contract Value: £4,931,528 Form of Contract: JCT With Contractor’s Design 2005 Duration: 54 weeks Architect: Nicholas Hare Architects The 2010 BCSE and 2011 Civic Trust Award Winning design, conversion and extension to form a new primary school on the site of the former Hornsey School of Art. The existing school stands on the west side of Crouch Hill and will become the new infant's school once this project is completed. The project consists of converting the existing five storey 1920’s building into school halls, dinning hall, and kitchen, classrooms and offices. New single and two storey classroom wings are constructed to provide light and spacious teaching accommodation. These will achieve balanced daylight through the use of curtain walling and clerestorey windows. A sophisticated central Building Management System (BMS) controls the completely new mechanical and electrical installations to the entire site.
