A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HON. CONGRESSWOMAN, THELMA Z. ALMARIO, DISTRICT II, DAVAO ORIENTAL, TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ONE (1) UNIT SOLAR DRIER FOR PUROK GREENFIELD, MOGBONGCOGON, BANAYBANAY, THIS PROVINCE

WHEREAS, the LGU's local and meager funds have been allocated to finance different infrastructure projects, social services, health and agriculture concerns for all the fourteen barangays of this municipality;

WHEREAS, Barangay Mogbongcogon has requested for a solar drier which is beyond this LGU's appropriation and was not defined in the annual budget, both the general and the 20% development fund;

WHEREAS, the Office of the Honorable Congresswoman has the financial capacity to fund the requested project;

A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE BUREAU OF FISHERIES AND AQUATIC RESOURCES (BFAR), REGIONAL OFFICE XI, THROUGH REGIONAL DIRECTOR GEORGE G. CAMPEON TO ISSUE ONE (1) UNIT UNDERWATER CAMERA AND (1) UNIT DSLR CAMERA FOR DOCUMENTATION OF THIS LGU'S FISHERY PROJECTS/PROGRAMS

WHEREAS, the LGU of Banaybanay is known regional-wide for its active and aggressive implementation of fishery projects/programs especially the Bantay Dagat and organization of the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and Management Council (FARMC);

WHEREAS, proof of its commitment mission and vision of the BFAR are the passages of Municipal Ordinances No. 01 S. 1997 and No. 05 S. 1997 supporting the establishment and operation of seaweeds farming at Piso and Maputi and declaring Mapagba Reef (Burias Reef) as Fish Sanctuary respectively of the municipality;

WHEREAS, the requested underwater camera and DSLR camera will be of great importance in documenting activities of the Bantay Dagat and the Burias islet which at present is being developed by the LGU into tourist attraction for its rich underwater resources;

WHEREAS, the equipment, although, to be issued to the Office of the Municipal Mayor of this municipality could also be used by other coastal municipalities of Davao Oriental upon formal request and exclusively for fishery projects/programs only;
