CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS AT THE TIME OF THE OBSERVATION.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY STRUCTURAL ENGINEER AND ARCHITECT,
PER THE SCHEDULE STATED BELOW, WHEN SUCH ITEMS HAVE
PROGRESSED TO THE POINT WHERE THEY WILL BE IN PLACE AND
READY FOR REVIEW. FAILURE TO NOTIFY MAY REQUIRE REMOVAL OF
COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION.

OMISSIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREPARATION OF SHOP DRAWINGS AS THEY
PERTAIN TO MEMBER SIZES, DETAILS, AND DIMENSIONS SPECIFIED IN THE
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. ALL SHOP DRAWINGS MUST BE REVIEWED AND
"APPROVED" BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL.
B. ELECTRONIC SHOP DRAWING SUBMITTALS: SUBMIT ALL ELECTRONIC
SHOP DRAWINGS IN .PDF FORMAT. REVIEWED SHOP DRAWINGS WILL BE
RETURNED IN .PDF FORMAT. ALL PRINTS REQUIRED BY THE CONTRACTOR ARE
THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND SHALL BE MADE AFTER
APPROVED SHOP DRAWINGS ARE RETURNED.
C. RESUBMITTED SHOP DRAWINGS: RESUBMITTED SHOP DRAWINGS SHALL HAVE
ALL CHANGES SINCE THE PREVIOUS SUBMISSION IDENTIFIED BY CLOUDING
OR OTHER CLEAR COMMUNICATION. RE-REVIEWED SHOP DRAWINGS WILL ONLY
BE REVIEWED FOR IDENTIFIED CHANGES.
D. SHOP DRAWINGS: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT FOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
REVIEW SHOP DRAWINGS FOR THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.
1. STRUCTURAL STEEL
1.6. ALL DETAILS SHOWN ARE TYPICAL. SIMILAR DETAILS APPLY TO SIMILAR
CONDITIONS, UNLESS NOTED.
1.7. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MEANS, METHODS, TECHNIQUES, SEQUENCES,
AND PROCEDURES OF CONSTRUCTION.
1.8. CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS SHALL BE SPREAD OUT IF PLACED ON FRAMED FLOORS/ROOFS. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT LOADS
DO NOT EXCEED THE DESIGN LIVE LOAD.
2. STRUCTURAL STEEL
2.1. FABRICATE AND ERECT ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL IN ACCORDANCE WITH AISC
"CODE OF STANDARD PRACTICE FOR STEEL BUILDINGS AND BRIDGES".
2.2. STRUCTURAL STEEL: ASTM A992 FOR WIDE FLANGE BEAMS AND COLUMNS; ASTM A36
FOR CHANNELS, PLATES, AND ANGLES.
2.3. WELDED CONNECTIONS: E70XX ELECTRODES, MINIMUM SIZE FILLET WELD
3/16". FIELD WELDING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
2.4. BOLTED CONNECTIONS: BEARING TYPE A325-N IN ACCORDANCE WITH AISC
"SPECIFICATION FOR STRUCTURAL JOINTS USING ASTM A325 OR A490 BOLTS".
BOLTS THROUGH 4" WIDE BEAM FLANGES SHALL BE 5/8" DIAMETER. OTHER BOLTS
SHALL BE 3/4" DIAMETER. USE SNUG TIGHT BEARING CONNECTIONS FOR
ALL BOLTED CONNECTIONS.
2.5. BOLTS SHOWN IN SECTIONS AND DETAILS ARE A SCHEMATIC INDICATION
THAT BOLTS MAY BE USED. ACTUAL NUMBER, UNLESS SPECIFIED, TO BE
IN ACCORDANCE WITH AISC.
2.6. ALL NON-COMPOSITE BEAM CONNECTIONS SHALL BE "SIMPLE SHEAR CONNECTIONS",
UNLESS NOTED.
3. POST INSTALLED ANCHORS
3.1. POST INSTALLED ANCHORS SHALL COMPLY WITH ACI-318 APPENDIX D.
3.2. ACCEPTABLE MANUFACTURERS SHALL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
HILTI, INC. AND SIMPSON STRONG-TIE COMPANY, INC.
3.3. HOLES SHALL BE DRILLED AND CLEANED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
MANUFACTURER'S WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS. SUBSTITUTION REQUESTS, FOR
PRODUCTS OTHER THAN THOSE SHOWN SHALL BE SUBMITTED BY THE
CONTRACTOR ALONG WITH PREPARED DOCUMENTATION DEMONSTRATING EQUAL
SUBSTITUTION THAT THE PRODUCT IS CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING EQUIVALENT
PERFORMANCE VALUES (MINIMUM) OF THE SPECIFIED PRODUCT USING THE
APPROPRIATE DESIGN PROCEDURE AND/OR STANDARD(S) AS REQUIRED BY THE

3.4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW ALL MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION

SUPPLY FAN CONTROL
: THE SUPPLY FAN WILL BE STARTED BASED ON OCCUPANCY SCHEDULE. WHEN THE SUPPLY FAN STATUS INDICATES THE FAN
STARTED, THE CONTROL SEQUENCE WILL BE ENABLED. THE SUPPLY FAN WILL MODULATE TO CONSTANT VOLUME SETTING ON DRIVE,
DETERMINED THROUGH TESTING AND BALANCING. UPON A LOSS OF AIRFLOW, THE SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY RESTART.
OA CONTROL
: THE OA DAMPER WILL OPEN AND CLOSE AS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN THE OA FLOW SETPOINT. THE FRESH AIR INTAKE
OF THE UNIT WILL BE LIMITED TO PREVENT THE MIXED AIR TEMPERATURE FROM FALLING BELOW THE LOW LIMIT SETPOINT.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
: THE DISCHARGE AIR TEMPERATURE SETPOINT WILL BE RESET AS ZONE TEMPERATURE CHANGES.
OCCUPIED MODE
: THE OCCUPANCY MODE WILL BE CONTROLLED VIA A NETWORK INPUT. THE OCCUPANCY MODE CAN ALSO BE OVERRIDDEN BY A
NETWORK INPUT.
UNOCCUPIED MODE
: THE UNIT WILL REMAIN OFF DURING UNOCCUPIED PERIODS.
COOLING COIL/HEATING COIL
: THE COILS WILL MODULATE TO MAINTAIN THE EXHAUST TEMPERATURE SETPOINT 75° (ADJ.). WHEN THE UNIT IS SHUTDOWN, THE
COILS WILL BE COMMANDED TO A PRESET POSITION SHOULD THE MIXED AIR TEMPERATURE FALL BELOW 35° (ADJ.) SETPOINT.
