Update from NDMA
06th June 2012
District Update• Coordination for coverage of gaps in emergency assistance,
and implementation of ER activities deems critical in all districts; recent cases of duplications in Sanghar (distributions), Badin and Umerkot (ER projects). Shelter agencies reminded to inform the Shelter Cluster and district authorities before starting activities.
• Corruption cases and duplications – Only one case of duplication was confirmed in TMK, though a number of households had reused emergency shelter kit provided by one organization to supplement e.g. T-Shelters or roofing kits provided by another.
06th June 2012
District Update
• An urgent need for shelter trainings was highlighted in Badin.
• In MPK – A number of government model villages are being constructed. SC will identify the locations of these.
• In Shaheed Benazirabad - Tehluka Qazi Ahmed identified isolated by the local organizations in last district cluster meetings. The district SC asked for the assessment of isolated Tehluka from the local organizations.
