shddin © 2009Sesar TransformSesar transform terbentuk akibat offset punggungan pemekaran lempeng. Harap diperhatikan bahwa arah pergerakan sesar transform berlawanan dengan arah offset punggungan.

shddin © 2009Sesar Transcurrent dan TearSesar transcurrent adalah sesar geser mendatar intrakontinen yang bukan merupakan batas lempeng.

Sesar tear adalah sesar geser mendatar terbentuk pada sistem tektonik lain (misal pada sistem thrust atau ekstensional) dan mengakomodasi perbedaan pergerakan masing-masing allochton, umumnya hanya terjadi pada hangingwall dan tidak menerus ke footwall.

Sesar wrench adalah sesar geser mendatar dengan berbagai orientasi namun semuanya mengalami pergeseran sejajar jurus.

shddin © 2009Struktur Bentukan Strike-Slip FaultsBerdasarkan pada gaya pergeseran, suatu sesar geser mendatar yang besar dapat bersifat:1. Konvergen - kedua blok sesar bergeser saling mendekat2. Divergen - kedua blok sesar bergeser saling menjauh3. Paralel - kedua blok sesar tetap bergerak lurus

Ketiganya akan menghasilkan struktur bentukan yang berbeda.
