As we begin the fourth week of Lent youll notice that the crown of thorns has been added to the cross, joining the nails, and the betrayal money bag of Judas. Each of these visual reminders speaks to us of the reality of the crucixion. While the earthly temple in Jerusalem was but a shadow of the heavenly temple, the shadow of earthly worship became reality bridging heaven and earth through the cross of Christ. Earthly history and heavenly eternity meet in worship. - Wil Brown
