ONE PROOFOur New Life in Christ

How can I know I have eternal life?

Matthew 7:21Not everyone who calls to me, Lord! Lord! will enter the kingdom of heaven.

We can know!1 John 5:11-13

And this s what God testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have Gods Son does not have life.

The proof of our new life in Christ.

II Corinthians 5:17This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old is gone; a new life has begun.

Ephesians 2:8-10God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you cant take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.

Ephesians 2:8-10For we are Gods masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Two markers of our new life:Obedienceand Love

I John 2:3-6And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure. Everyone who sins is breaking Gods law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God.

I John 2:3-6And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.

I John 2:7-11Dear friends, I am not writing a new commandment for you; rather it is an old one you have had from the very beginning. This old commandment - to love one another - is the same message you heard before.

I John 2:7-11Yet it is also new. Jesus lived the truth of this commandment, and you also are living it. For the darkness is disappearing, and the true light is already shining.

I John 2:7-11If anyone claims, I am living in the light, but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is still living in darkness. Anyone who loves another brother is living in the light and does not cause others to stumble.

I John 2:7-11But anyone who hates another brother or sister is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness.

Titus 2:11-12For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God.
