The Pureit guarantee of getting water that is Safer Than Boiled Waterapplies only if you ensure that the Transparent Chamber of the purier andthe tap are hygienically kept, and that germs are not introduced due tocontact with hands, drying with a cloth, wash or any other means

You should only store water in Pureit Advanced purier and not use otherbottles and containers, to avoid re-contamination of the water

Always use all three components of the Pureit Advanced Germkill Kittogether

You should ensure that the area around and beneath the purier is keptclean at all times

Keep all components of the Pureit Advanced Germkill Kit out of reach ofchildren at all times

Do not clean with soap or detergent, or any abrasive cleaners or tools like wire MeshDo not twist the Advanced Microbre Mesh while cleaning. The AdvancedMicrober Mesh might change its color over a period of time. This does notaffect the performance of the Advanced Microber Mesh

Do not use any soap or detergent. Ensure that you dont inadvertently introducegerms into the Transparent Chamber or the tap e.g. through your hands or byusing a drying cloth. Always use puried Pureit Advanced water for doing the lastrinse of the Transparent Chamber, and then let it drip-dry

Do not normally wash the Cleansing-Collection Chamber

Dont pour boiling or hot water (more than 50C) into, or on the Pureit Advancedsystem. Similarly dont pour freezing cold water (less than 10C) into, or on thePureit Advanced system

Do not pour hot water directly from an overhead tank or any other source in yourPureit Advanced as hot water uses up the Germkill Kit faster than normal. Ifrequired, allow the water to cool to room temperature before pouring it in the TopChamber. For the same reason do not keep your Pureit Advanced in hot surroundingslike direct sunlight, near a stove or near a fridgeNever buy the Pureit Advanced system, or a Pureit Advanced Germkill Kit from anunauthorized source. FAQs

There is condensation in the Transparent Chamber. Is

this a problem?

This normally happens because of temperature differences. It

does not affect the working of your Pureit Advanced and you

will continue to receive water that is Safer Than Boiled Water.

What happens if some part of the Pureit Advanced

breaks accidentally?

If some part of Pureit Advanced breaks accidentally, please

call Pureit Advanced helpline. We will arrange to send you

a replacement part. You will however have to pay for the

replacement part.

What should I do if it takes a long time to

purify water?

In case the water quality is bad the filtration units of Pureit

Advanced may take a longer time to purify water. In such

cases you will need to clean the Carbon Polisher and

the Advanced Microfiber MeshTM. Please refer the Cleaning

& Maintenance of Pureit Advanced section for this. If the

flow rate still does not improve them please clean the

Microcharged Membrane as shown in the Cleaning &

Maintenance section.

How do I know that my Pureit Advanced

needs cleaning?

In case the water quality is bad the filtration units of PureitAdvanced may take a longer time to purify water. There will

be a time when the water stops coming into the Transparent

Chamber. This is an indication that you need to clean your

Pureit Advanced. Please refer the Cleaning & Maintenance of

Pureit Advanced section for this.

Pureit Advanced didnt fully remove the colour from

the input water. Is the water safe to drink?

Such a situation will normally not happen in Pureit Advanced.

All the colloidal clay, insoluble salts of calcium, magnesium, iron

etc will be removed by the Microcharged Membrane. Such a

situation if happens, suggests that Microcharged Membrane

has been damaged. Please call the Pureit Advanced helpline for

replacement.

Can there be scaling in Pureit Advanced?

Dissolved chemicals in water can occasionally precipitate out ofthe water, and deposit inside Pureit Advanced. This however does

not in any way affect the Germkill capability of Pureit Advanced.

To avoid scaling, rinse the Top Chamber & Transparent Chamber

once in a while. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or tools. Refer

to Cleaning & Maintenance of Pureit Advanced section for details.

Will Pureit Advanced remove salt and oil?

Input water may contain many materials which affect the taste

of water. Of these, Pureit Advanced removes materials likeoil, sand, soil, clay, dirt, decayed animal and plant waste, andharmful pesticide impurities and is therefore likely to improvethe taste of water. However, Pureit Advanced does notremove some dissolved salts that may contribute to taste likesodium chloride salt, calcium and magnesium.In fact, Pureit Advanced retains some good dissolved saltspresent in drinking water. This may affect the taste of water.

Can one pour brackish water into Pureit Advanced?

Yes, the water will be free of harmful germs, but there maynot always be an improvement in taste. However by pouringbrackish/sea water into the Pureit Advanced, there maybe a risk of choking the system, and the Auto Shut-Offmechanism may malfunction.

Can there sometimes be particles in the water storedin the Transparent Chamber?

No. Particles will not escape into the Transparent Chamberthrough the filtering media. However you have to drain thefirst cycle that gets collected in the Transparent Chamber.

Sometimes there is a chlorine like smell near theGermkill Processor. Is this a problem?

No, this is not a problem. You will continue to get absolutely

safe, odour free, great tasting water from the TransparentChamber.

Water is overflowing from the front of the purifier?There might be two reasons for this. One, check yourGermkill Life Indicator. If it is red, then please order fora new Germkill Kit and replace it. Do not pour any morewater in the Top Chamber to avoid further spillage. Two, ifthe Germkill Indicator is not red, please clean the CarbonPolisher and the Advanced Microfiber MeshTMand ensureproper placement of all parts in the Cleansing CollectionChamber. If the problem persists, then please contact Pureit

Advanced Helpline.

How long does it take for the water to get purified?

It depends on the quality of water that is put into PureitAdvanced. Typically 9 litres of water gets purified between1.5-2 hrs.Cleaning the Carbon Polisher and the Advanced MicrofiberMeshTMregularly can also improve the flow rate.

Do I need to empty the water from Pureit Advancedif I am not using the purifier for a few days.

If there is stagnant water in Pureit Advanced for more than2 days, then discard one cycle of water and start consumingfrom the fresh cycle of water.

Product warranty

The Pureit advanced purier guarantees that you will get Safer Than Boiled Water as long as the purier is used in the manner specied in this manual.In addition, we cover your Pureit advanced purier with a six-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

General

For the purpose of this warranty, the following expressions shall have the following meanings respectively:

The purier shall mean the purier described in the invoice.

The customer shall mean the purchaser of the purier from the company or the companys authorised dealer who is a party to the invoice.

The company shall mean Hindustan Unilever Limited.

Invoice shall mean the Invoice issued for the purier by the retailer to the customer describing the purier and indicating, inter alia, the total purchase price thereof,

the name and address of the customer.

User manual shall mean the instructions for installation, use and maintenance contained in the leaet publ ished by the company, and delivered to the Customer at the time of sale of thepurier.

This warranty is subject to the following conditions

The customer will notify the company in writing or by calling the helpline promptly of any defects noticed and give the company or its authorised agent adequate opportunity to inspect,test and remedy them for which the customer will deposit the purier if so required by the company, with the companys ofce/service centre/authorised dealer along with the original

invoice, in the city where it was sold.The companys obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repairing or providing replacement of par ts, found to be defective. The company or its authorised agent will be entitled toretain any defective part replaced under the warranty.

Inspection and test report of the companys ofce/service centre/authorised dealer will be nal and binding under the warranty for determining defects, repairs/alterations required orcarried out, or certifying working of the purier thereafter.

The companys liability under this warranty shall in no event, and under no circumstances , exceed the price paid by the customer.

This warranty is conned to the rst purchaser of the product only and is not transferable.

In the event of repairs of any part/s of the purier, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the warranty. The warranty is issued atMumbai, and courts at Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over matters covered or owing from this warranty.

The companys obligation is only for effective repairs of any defective par t of the purier, and not for purier replacement as such. Repairs or replacements will be carried out by thecompanys ofce/service centre/authorised dealer from whom the purier has been purchased.

For puriers installed beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the authorised service centre/authorised dealer, all expenses incurred in collecting the purier/s, or parts thereoffrom the companys service center/authorised deale r, as well as expenses incurred with deputising of service personnel/technicians towards conveyance and other incidentals etc. shall beborne by the customer.

The warranty is void if any repair work is carried out by persons other than those of the company, or its authorised dealers.

The warranty is void if the serial number is deleted from the bottom of the purier.

This warranty is valid in India only.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in, or implied by this warranty:

The companys liability under this warranty shall be limited only to defects in the purier which occur under the conditions of normal operation of the purier and it's proper andprescribed use as per this user manual. This warranty does not cover or extend to defects which are determined by the company or its authorised agents as occurring or resulting from orattributable to negligence, abuse, misuse, faulty care, operation or maintenance or repairs, alterations to the purier or any par t thereof by others.

The three components of the Germkill Kit are not covered by this warranty, and have to be separately bought by the consumer once their l ife is over.

Warranty doesnt cover any damage/other issue arising out of ingress of external/foreign material (like dust, insects, ants, other pests) in the water purier as it is the responsibility of theconsumer to keep the area around the purier clean and free of pests/dust.
