MARK MEETINGS AND HAPPENINGS WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY (Beef Stew and Salad) 6:00 P.M. ***************************************************************** EGG STUFFING The youth will be stuffing eggs on March 17 for the Easter Egg Hunt on March 24. We are asking for donations of individually wrapped candy - but please - no chocolate since it may melt if the weather is warm. We will have a basket in the narthex where you can drop your candy. Thank you. CHOIR Singers wanted! If there's anyone out there who would like to join the chancel choir for Easter music, we practice on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, beginning our rehearsal time with our music for Easter for the first thirty minutes. HOLY LAND On Sunday, March 3 and March 10, Jacki and Jim Ratledge will present a program of the Holy Land during the Sunday School hour. Please plan to join them as they share memories and information about their journey. RAFTING TRIP The St. Mark rafting trip has been scheduled for July 26-28. Please see Dawn McMillan for more details. WOMEN OF JOY The June Smith Memorial Sunday school class will be traveling to Myrtle Beach May 3-5 for the Women of Joy Conference. If you would like more information, please see Dawn McMillan. Brochures are available in the narthex. RED BIRD MISSION TRIP Those participating in the Red Bird Mission Trip (May 19-25) are reminded that the $100.00 deposit is due March 21. Currently, we have 8 people from St. Mark interested in this trip! If you are unable to go but would like to make a donation for those who are going, please make your check out to St. Mark UMC and indicate "Red Bird Mission Trip." The cost for each person going is $400.00. we will meet to talk about fundraising ideas on March 10 right after the 11:00 service. More information is available www.redbirdmission.org BACKPACK BUDDIES For M.C. Hersey Elementary Needed: preferably in pop-top cans, individual containers of soup, Pasta-protein single-serve meals such as Spaghetti-O's, canned tuna or chicken, Beanie Weenies - NO Vienna sausage, Pudding, Jell-o, fruit cups, applesauce, Instant oatmeal/grits, Cheese or peanut butter crackers, juice boxes, Monetary donations, volunteers to pack food each week & shop for food.
