    Happy Military Spouse AppreciationMonth!! This month is about us, thespouses and this months newsletter willfocus on resources for us right here.

    Most everyone on base has heard ofFleet and Family Support Center and willgenerally relate it to counseling but thereis whole lot of resources for spouses,too. FFSC offers monthly class onResume Writing and Military SpouseOrientation as well as sponsor groupslike Mommy and Me and SpouseSummit. These are great tools forspouses to not only learn something butconnect with other spouses. For moreinformation on dates and times callFFSC at 504-678-7569. Another greataspect of FFSC is that they are alwayslooking for volunteers. Volunteering isgood way to connect with yourcommunity, while building a resume, too.

    New in town is the PWOC at the

    Chapel. This is a group for womenlooking to use religion to learn, grow andconnect. They now have a FB page,PWOC NAS JRB New Orleans. They

    meet every Thursday morning at 0930 athe NAS JRB Chapel.

    If exercise is your thing, try StrollerWarriors. No need to have runningexperience or even kids! This an

    amazing group of women just supportingeach other. Connect with them on FB aswell on their group page Stroller WarriorNew Orleans or just show up for a run/walk on Tuesdays and Saturdays atPlaquedilla Park.

    Community Garden

    - Stroller Warriors Tues at 0830 and Sat at0730. All running levels welcome!

    - Mommy and Me at the Chapel on the2nd and 4th Wed of the month from

    10-1130.- Spouse Summit is held on the last Tues

    of the month at FFSC starting at 1630.

    - PWOC is now being held at the Chapelevery Thurs at 0930.

    Good Things To Know

    Coming soon to the base will be aCommunity Garden. A place to have allyour own to plant vegetable, fruit orherbs. Currently a space has beendesignated on Printance Circle right off oRussel. There will be raised beds andplots will be available for rent for $20 fora small and $40 for a medium and $60for a large..
