We are a free brokerage service that supports Tower Hamlets residents into training and employment.
Our services include:
A Job Broker/IAG Officer who will support your individual employment/training needs
Access to vacancies, apprenticeships opportunities and training for many sectors including Administration, Security, Education, Construction, NHS, Local Authority, Retail, IT and Catering.
Help with writing a CV, applications forms, supporting statements and interview preparation.
Access to job specific training courses
Assisted job search sessions
In Work Support
To provide work placements so that mature people are closer to the labour market
Bridging the Gap in employment
Giving 50+ clients an opportunity to upskill themselves
Providing a positive experience of employment
Improving lives of families
The aim is to help and support unemployed residents aged 50+
The programme provides work placements of 6 months duration
Placements will be 16/25 hours per week
Placements will be paid at London Living Wage
Each participant will Gain Valuable Paid Work Experience and an Accredited Qualification relevant to the work experience
Each participant is required to attend 4 days work placement with the employer and 1 day training for the 25hrs placements and 3 days with the employer and 1 day training for 16hrs placements
All successful participants will be required to attend mandatory training one day a week relevant to the job
Each applicant will undergo the Tower Hamlets Council’s Recruitment and Selection process with the support from WorkPath
Successful candidates are employed by Tower Hamlets Council and seconded out to their placements
16 hours placement will mean that trainees will have to work 3 days a week.
09:30 – 14:30 x 2 days
09:30 – 16:30 x 1 day
25 hours placement will mean that trainees will have to work 4 days a week.
09:30 – 16:30 x 2 days
09:30 – 17:00 x 2 days

Good standard of English & Maths equivalent to level 1-
preferred but not essential
Must have a 5 year checkable history for DBS checks
Must be committed to the Programme and willing to study
towards the Recognised Accredited Qualification

Placement start
Whilst participants are on the programme it is compulsory that they complete 1 unpaid day per week training that is suited to the roles.
For Example:
Business Admin – Business Admin NVQ Level 2
Handy Person – Employability skills Award Level 2
Clients will be required to undergo a satisfied Enhanced DBS check – if required by the placement
The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).
