09 Nights /10Days – (Tour code RAOAS) Day 01: Arrival Srinagar-Local Sightseeing (27 Kms) On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be welcomed by our

representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a

35 minutes drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the

Abdullah Bridge which connects the banks of the Jhelum River, snaking its way towards the

North-Western frontier of Kashmir. We arrive at the houseboat/hotel and check in then

proceed for a local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens

,CheshmaShahi(Royal Spring), Nishat(Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar ( Abode of Love)

Mughal laid Out in the 16th century & these fall along the bank of Dal-Lake in the heart of

Srinagar City &Shankaracharya Temple located on a hillock, thus providing panoramic view

of entire City, along with famous Dal-Lake & River Jhelum, Enroute visiting handloom centre

Day 02: Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar (56 Kms/ 2hrs 30min one way).

After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country side day trip towards Gulmarg.

Gulmarg (2440 Meters above Sea level). It is one of the most beautiful hill stations and also

called “Meadows of Flower”. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an

insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesque market town of

Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. Gulmarg has one of

the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course with 18 holes. We arrive in Gulmarg

early in the afternoon and begin a short tour around the meadow familiarizing ourselves

with the beauty. In Gulmarg we will board the Gondola cable car system (on direct payment

Basis), and ascend towards the Afarwatt Mountain range. The 08 minutes of rope-way will

take you past colorful shepherd huntsmen to the lower ridge of the Afarwatt peak. From

here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels

guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. In the evening we will drive back to

Srinagar, Dinner and Overnight in Houseboat/Hotel.


Day 03: Srinagar-Pahalgam -Srinagar (97 Kms /03 hrs one way)

Leave after breakfast & proceed to Pahalgam, we drive to Pahalgam via Pampore where

you can visit famous saffron fields , Awantipora and the village of Bijbehara which remains

famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. We switch from the national highway 1A at Khanabal

and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. Pahalgam is a picturesque valley

around 97 kilometers South of Kashmir. Known as Pahalgam (which means The Shepherds

Village), the valley is renowned the world over for its exotic forests, pretty water streams

and imposing snow peaks. In Pahalgam you can visit Aru valley, Beetab Valley and

Chandanwari (on direct payment basis) as well as take a horse riding trip to Baisaran

meadows. After sightseeing around the mountain valley for most of the day, we will drive

back to Srinagar and transfer to the Houseboat/Hotel for our overnight stay

Day 04: Srinagar – Kargil (215 Kms/08 hrs)

Early Departure from Srinagar, travel to Kargil (8200+ ftasl) via Srinagar - Leh Highway.

Enroute visit Sonmarg (8500+ ftasl) and experience stunning close range Himalayan views.

Reach Kargil via Zojilla pass &Drass region. Continue your drive Check in Hotel, Overnight at

Hotel.

Day 05: Kargil – Lamayuru – Leh (224 Kms / 07 hrs)

Early Morning Proceed to Leh (10000 ftasl - 234 kms - 10 hrs). Enroute visit Mulbek (known

for its huge Buddha Statue) and Lamayuru monastery (10500+ ftasl - The oldest monastery in

Ladakh). Enroute pass the confluence of Indus – Zanskar Rivers and the effects of Magnetic

Hill (Defiance of the law of gravity). Visit GurudwaraPatthar Sahib and Kali Mata temple and

reach Leh in the evening. Rest for the dayCheck in Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel

Day 06: Leh –Monastery Tour

Today our guide takes you to an exciting sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis

Monasteries.

Shey - Set on the eastern bank of the river Indus, the small village Shey is just about 15 kms

from Leh. The place is popular for the ancient palace and the monastery. The Shey Palace

was the residence of the royal family built in the 17th century. Also you can see the ruins of a

fortress present above the palace. The Shey Monastery also has a three storey image of

Buddha Sakyamuni made of copper gilt.


Thiksey Monastery - Located on top of a hill, the monastery is an excellent example of

Ladakhi architecture. This contains several stupas, statues, thangkas, wall paintings and a

large pillar depicting Buddha's teachings.

Hemis Monastery - Built in 1630, this is the biggest and most famous monastery in Ladakh. It

is at a distance of 49 kms from Leh and 30 kms from Thiksey.

Day 07: Leh – Khardungla – Nubra

After Breakfast, move towards Highest Motorable Road of The World, Khardungla Pass. Have a cup

of Tea there, get yourself clicked with the Khardungla Signboard by BRO & proceed towards Nubra

valley covering Deskit Monastery Enroute. Check-in at Hotel/Camp, freshen up & later you can have a

Double Hump Bactarian Camel ride. Dont forget to click this unique mammal, found in cold Desert. It

was once used to carry the trade material on silk route. Overnight at Hunder/Nubra Camps/Hotel.

Day 08: Nubra – Leh

After Breakfast, check out from the camps & visit Deskit Monastery, Hot Water Springs, Panamik via

confluence of Shyok&Nubra River across Sumoor. Return to Leh by Evening. Overnight at Leh.

Day 09: Pangong lake Day trip. Nestled at an elevation of 4300 meters, the crystal clear brackish waters of Pangong Lake changes its color in many shades of blue and green with the changing position of the sun in the sky. About 1/4th of the lake lies in India and the rest flows into the Tibet region of China. It is a breeding point for various migratory birds such as Bar headed goose and Brahmini ducks. SpangmikVillage :Located around 7 kilometers along the southern shores, it is the farthest village of Pangong area. From here, one can enjoy spectacular views of the Chang-Chenmo Range Mountains.
