SECTION 01320 -CODES AND STANDARDS

PART 1 - GENERAL

1.01 Description

WORK Included : Throughout the Construction Drawings & Specifications Documents,reference is made to Codes and Standards which establish types of workmanship andquality of materials, and which establish methods for testing and reporting on thepertinent characteristics.

1. It is the CONTRACTORS responsibility to provide materials and workmanshipwhich meet or exceed the specifically named Code or Standards.

2. It is also the CONTRACTORS responsibility, when so required by the ContractDocuments, to deliver to the Company Representative all required proof that thematerials and workmanship, meet or exceed the requirements of the specifically

named Code and Standard. Such proof shall be in the form of a certified report oftests conducted by an approved testing agency.

1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE

A. CONTRACTOR shall develop a QA/QC plan in accordance with SAUDI ARAMCOStandard, SAEP-1023 and be reviewed and approved by CompanyRepresentative.

B. Familiarity with pertinent Codes and Standards: In procuring all items used inthis WORK, it is the CONTRACTORS responsibility to verify the detailedrequirements of the specifically named Codes and Standards and to verify thatthe items procured for the use in this WORK, equal or exceed the specifiedrequirements.

C. Rejection of Non-Complying Items : Company Representative reserves the rightto reject items incorporated into the WORK which fail to meet the specifiedminimum requirements.

D. The latest issue of the Codes and Standards publications from theorganizations listed below form part of this Construction Specifications. Unlessotherwise stated in these Specifications, the CONTRACTOR shall be responsiblefor full compliance with these Codes and Standards even though they may notbe specifically referenced in each Division, Sections or Sub-Sections. Allconstruction shall comply with the applicable Codes and Standards SAUDI

ARAMCO Engineering Standards, Standard Drawings and Material SystemSpecifications.
