Membership premiums book has not been successful – it will not be repeated next year. Gary invoicing sponsors in January. Gary taking over somewhat more of the bookkeeping tasks.

Rob Henry and Vivian Robbins
Current membership: 126 Prof. Members as of Dec. 1, 2014
Vivian was excused from the meeting; she will report in February on event attendance by the membership, newsletter continued interest (survey results) and details on who has paid their 2015 dues.
Rob reviewed new members; at least 3. Dianne to send thank you cards to all new members, starting in 2015. Karen requested that the paid and unpaid list of 2015 IFDA NE members be tallied and made available weekly – headquarters produces this list – so far, no change

Jen Driscoll
IFDA to participate in Take-‐A-‐Seat; plans include coordinating with other chapters (NY, Washington DC, Philly) and confirm a date in May for the kick-‐off and then a subsequent gala. Proposed Events: Open -‐ January (update – event cancelled and reschedule to February 11th) Color Seminar with Gloria Robertson. Fabric Workshop with Thread to be rescheduled. Open -‐ March: “Modern Interiors for Men” with Eddie Lee and Antonio Buzzetta – during the Second Annual Boston Design Week; additional panel members and moderator needed Member-‐Only -‐ April: New England Home event? Open – May 13 -‐ Announcement and Gala for Take-‐A-‐ Seat Member-‐Only – June – IFDA NE and BRAGB Cruise July – Vacation August -‐ Open – Designer Weekend Retreat Member-‐Only – Sept – Design New England Editorial Staff Review Member-‐Only – October – Vendor Dinner
Jen to confirm event schedule and expect to have that available for a “save-‐the-‐date” mailing to the membership. Jen noted which events were members-‐only and which were open to everyone. At the members-‐only events, guests of members are welcome. See central column; Additions to events include speed-‐networking, social media presentations, non-‐profit participation, etc. to be identified per event. Review costs at February board meeting; Jen to update panel members, etc. for March event

Technology/Communications – Chris
Vote Taken on Motion in November: To open up Constant Contact emails to non-‐members in 2015; vote taken in November, 2014 -‐ Chris to create Twitter and other accounts to use social media to communicate IFDA details to members and non-‐members Branding would help Chris to focus his communications
Chris to work with Amy, Jen and Karen to identify who will receive Constant Contacts who are not currently members.
Education and Education Foundation
Gloria Robertson
Gloria will start to work with recent graduates as well as current students at the BAC; she will also reach out to other colleges that have interior design programs, as well as RISD and North Bennett school. Presentations to be made to instructors as well as student.

Rose Ann to start contacting 2014 sponsors to confirm their continuation as sponsors in 2015; Rose Ann to present plan for sponsorship in 2015 at February meeting.

Community Relations
Jacqui Becker
Jacqui to create a new committee and coordinate all activities with IFDA-‐NE’s new non-‐profit, Women’s Institute for Housing and Economic Development. (WIHED)
Karen and Jacqui to meet with the director and deputy-‐director of WIHED to start to discuss how members will be informed about WIHED, what role members can take in working with WIHED, etc. WIHED to be introduced at one of our early events.
Industry Communication of Events – Bob Grossman
Please send Bob any updates.
Future Directions
Sean Reynolds
Sean will start to reach out to other non-‐profits, to see how they are working to get new and younger Members.

President’s Report Karen to contact Louis Postel to schedule a time to work on a mission statement for IFDA NE.
