Johan was born in Rustenburg and schooled at Laerskool Vastrap and Hoërskool Bergsig, before leaving for Pretoria to complete his BCom degree at Tukkies. He partook and excelled at various activities at school, but upon reflection, none brings him more pride than the afro he managed to grow, pictured above, in only one holiday during the 9th grade! Johan joined Twin City in 2013, and with a background ranging from big corporate to selling pumps in the mining sector, he has unsurprisingly functioned as Head of Finance, Tenant Coordinator and Director of New Business since; ready to add value wherever he is asked to serve. His typical day is spent in the air, on the road, on the phone or underneath a tree negotiating the next deal. His most fulfilling moment at Twin City is described as the successful resolution meeting held at Paledi Mall, where the support from both the community and our support to them was made tangible. When probed about his favourite sports team Johan mentions that he has a TV for ornamental value and you’d rather find him on a motorbike, spending time with his family in the outdoors or wrestling a 1000-pound Blue Marlin. KICKING OFF 2019, THE TWIN CITY WAY! On 8 February, the whole team assembled at Head Office, where Ryno reflected on the past year and offered some clarity on the Company’s vision for the future. Thereafter we had the privilege to listen to Brett Archibald and his fantastic story of survival and resilience which served as inspiration for the times ahead! MARK BOEKEE CELEBRATES HIS 60TH! The 4th of February saw Mr. Boekee hit the big 6-0. Congratulations, Mark! May you have a blessed year ahead of you and thank you for the invaluable part you play in keeping the show on the road, or air, rather!
