Costumes allow different audience member to react to theseCharacters without having their personality effecting judgement.

For example here Bianca’s character is portrayed as low class and not allot of wealth.Where-as Doctor Watson and Sherlock are in dark clothing of long jackets and scarf

Props:Option 1 - You have to provide props for a tense police interview between two officers and one suspected murderer. Decide what props you would incorporate and how the actors should be directed to use them.Option 2 – You have to provide props for a romantic meal between two characters on their first date. Decide what props you would incorporate and how the actors should be directed to use them.

Props needed:Flowers in the center of the table,Folded napkins,Silver wearChampagne GlassesChampagne in a drinks coolerCandles.

How would actors be directed to use them:The candles would be lit, The actors would receive champagne from the waiter who would pour it from the drinks cooler.Unfolding the napkins and sipping champagne from the glasses awaiting their food.

Location:Can be a purpose built set or a real location

Blocking/Performance: Blocking refers to the positioning and movement of actors within the frame,

both in relation to each other and in relation to the camera (which represents us, the audience)

Performance covers all aspects of the actual acting – gesture, expression, accent etc

Lighting:How is lighting being used to create mood in the following examples?

them, this could mean that there is the opportunity for surprise. Also the light is on their face, this allows us to see that they are not the bad guys and therefore relate to them.High key lighting – little or no shadow or dark arears. Doesn’t create dramatic effect.

Low key lighting- lots of darkness for suspense.

Ambient lighting- using natural light.
