A reception was held atthe Convention Center inHampton. After a honey-moon to the Riviera Maya,Mexico, the couple residesin Ankeny.

Kennedy is the son ofSam and Denise Kennedy,of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho,formerly of Clear Lake,and grandson of Wandaand Jack Kennedy, ofClear Lake.

The Laura W. BushTraveling Fellowship pro-vides funding for a stu-dent-developed proposalto work abroad while ful-filling the mandate of theUnited Nations Educa-tion, Science and CulturalOrganization (UNESCO).

Kennedy is in Indiaimplementing a proposalfor the fellowship, involv-ing his work with ruraltechnology. He is workingwith multiple not-for-profit organizations in thedevelopment of appropri-ate rural technologies andcommunication materi-als. Kennedy hopes toshare his experience withother college studentsinterested in these tech-nologies through the cre-ation of a non-profitorganization and a projectwebsite.

Grandparents are Sonja Ridder (friend Ray Schmidt) of Klemme, BenMeyerhofer of Wesley, and Roger and Marilyn Leerar of Crystal Lake. Great-grandparents are Margot Ridder andthe late Roger Ridder of Klemme and Evelyn Kirchner of Estherville. The girls were born on their big brother Evan’sthird birthday.

All her life she wanted babies it’s true,And when she thought she’d never have any God gave her two!

They couldn’t wait to be born these two precious girls, so on Jan. 17th, 2010 they came into our world.Emma Rose weighed 2 pounds 5 ounces and Anna Kay weighed 3 pounds, 2 ounces, and gave us quite a scare!

But now 11 months later both are healthy and no worse for wear.And my baby, their Mama, has made me so proud, the way she takes care of our babies has got me so wowed!
