DescriptionThe SmartControl 8 with Power over Ethernet (SSC-P008) is part of the Savant SmartControl family designed to provide infrared (IR) and serial control of third party devices. The SSC-P008 supports Power over Ethernet using the IEEE 802.3af standard.

The SSC-P008 is an intelligent control product that connects with flat panel displays, DVD players, audio/video receivers, set-top boxes, projectors, lights, thermostats, window treatments, security systems, and other equipment commonly used in home automation and business installations.

The SSC-P008 is a solution for small installations controlling IR-based devices. The SSC-P008 can also be used for cost-effective control expansion—especially when additional IR control ports are required.

The SSC-P008 can be linked to any Savant SmartSystem™ containing a Savant host—HST-series or SVR-series.
