Tampa, FloridaLake Magdalene UMC of Tampa, Florida has steadily and consistently grown in its givingto the Children’s Home over the last four years. In 2016, the church gave $39,645.00 to theChildren’s Home. The church has been a strong supporter of the Children’s Home throughgift-in-kind drives and other efforts. Some of their many projects have included: providingprom dresses, sponsoring school photographs, and providing school supplies for ourchildren. Terry and Cindy Sisco, the Local Church Representatives, also serve on our Boardof Trustees. The pastor of the church is Reverend Brent Byerman. Thank you, LakeMagdalene United Methodist Church, for making the Children’s Home a priority in yourchurch and for your many years of steadfast support.

anona United Methodist Church, Largo, FloridaReverend Doctor Jack Stephenson, pastor of Anona United Methodist Church of Largo, Florida, is a passionatesupporter of the Children’s Home for many years. Since 2009, his church has consistently been recognized as aTop 20 Giving Church to the Children’s Home. In 2016, the church gave $47,847.27 to the Children’s Home. Jackexpresses his enthusiasm for the Children’s Home through both his preaching and teaching, and it remains oneof the primary missions that Anona United Methodist Church supports. He regularly invites the Local ChurchRepresentative, as well as representatives from the ministry, to speak in the church. Thank you, Jack Stephenson,for your personal support of the Children’s Home.

First United Methodist Church, Hawthorne, FloridaJennifer Davis has been a very active Local Church Representative in her congregation since takingover this role in 2014. That year, First United Methodist Church of Hawthorne, Florida, nearly tripledits giving to the Children’s Home. In 2014, First UMC, Hawthorne gave $43.42 per member, far abovethe $12.00 per member asked for of each church. This past year, the church both increased its givingby more than $3,000, and was named a top-20 giving church per capita, giving $88.13 per member.Jennifer actively promotes the Children’s Home in her congregation. She organizes a letter writingcampaign to homes on our Enterprise campus. She also assembles and maintains a bulletin boardto help keep her church informed of happenings within the Children’s Home ministry. Additionally,she challenges her church to pray for the Children’s Home on a regular basis, as well as during our

Mission Work GroUP oF THe YearDeer Lake United Methodist Church, Tallahassee, Florida
Deer Lake United Methodist Church of Tallahassee, Florida has sent work teams to theMadison Youth Ranch for the past three years. They have a heart for the ministry of theChildren’s Home, particularly the Youth Ranch, and have also brought donated itemsduring their service. While here, they willingly work on any project they are assigned. Inaddition to sending a team, individual church members have also come to the Youth Ranchto assist with various projects and needs. Their work group leader is Al Bass. Deer LakeUnited Methodist Church has consistently been a strong supporter of the Children’s Home.For the past two years, they have been named a Top 20 Giving church to the Florida UnitedMethodist Children’s Home.
