Aims of this module
The aims of this module is:
To enable students to develop their knowledge and skills in
relation to LAN Switching and WAN Networks.
To enable students to develop the ability to apply the knowledge
gained in relation to the study of LAN Switching and WAN
Networks.
To enable students to develop lifelong learning skills ofindependent learning and study in relation to LAN Switching and
WAN Networks.

Learning Outcomes
At the end of this module,YOUshould be able to:
Perform router, WAN switch and VLAN troubleshooting, includingaccess lists in extensive router based internetworks.
Explain and use VLANs, the spanning-tree protocol (STP),
network management principles and associated tools.
Install, configure, test and troubleshoot router WAN connection in
a router based internetwork according to industry standards using
commercial equipment.
Explain WAN Switching.
