ALEXANDER N. N. GILLES is a consultant for MARKET EDUCATION at First Metro Securities (a stockbroker). He is a financial analyst and an educator.

He completed his Bachelor of Arts, at the University of the Philippines in 1983, with honors. He finished his Masters in Applied Business Economics, at University of Asia & the Pacific in 2003.He belongs to the first batch of Filipinos who passed the exams for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, in Manila, in 1997. He was a stock market analyst for HSBC Securities, in its Manila office, in 1991-1997. He was an economist, for an Asset Management & Trust co. for two years. He taught “finance for entrepreneurs” at the University of Asia & the Pacific, for seven years. He taught “Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management” at De La Salle University's MBA school, for eight years.

In 2004, he published a book, entitled, “Guide to Entrepreneurship,” together with Prof. Reuben Mondejar, of the City University of Hong Kong.

HE is one of the advisers to the national association of finance-student associations. It is called the “Junior Confederation of Finance-student Associations of the Philippines” or “JCFAP” (founded 2007)

He is a co-founder and board member of the “Finance Educators Association,” also called “FIN.ED”…..
