The Journal of Ecology and Field Biology, an international quarterly journal, is the official journal of the Ecological Society of Korea, and is endorsed by the East Asian Federation of Ecological Societies (EAFES). The Journal of Ecology and Field Biology publishes peer-reviewed, original research papers, reviews, reports, and comments covering all aspects of ecology and field biology of all kinds of organisms, including modeling and theoretical aspects, and the influence of environmental factors on them. The subjects and contents of any review article should be discussed with the Editor prior to submission. The coverage of the journal ranges from molecular-level mechanistic studies to investigations at the whole ecosystem (global) scale. Also, the journal publishes articles presenting research across disciplinary and environmental boundaries, including studies examining interactions among geological, microbial, biological, chemical, physical, hydrological, and societal processes. The aim of the Journal of Ecology and Field Biology is to provide a forum for the ecologist to address and evaluate ecological issues relating to processes and structures at different integration levels (individuals, populations, communities, ecosystems and the landscape). The journal bridges fundamental ecology and environmental ecology and spans the boundaries of spatial and temporal scale, discipline and perspective. The journal particularly encourages submission of papers relating to ecology in East Asia. Studies that are hypothesis driven and with an experimental approach are especially welcome. Unless potential papers document important and relatively unknown aspects of field studies of a broad interest, we discourage papers that describe only the presence and abundance of biota in local habitats as well as papers that are purely systematic.

The Journal encourages the submission of manuscripts describing primarily original investigations in the broad fields of laboratory and biomedical sciences. Reports of purely laboratory or animal investigations should have a clear bearing on the problems of animal and human disease. The Journal will consider manuscripts that are primarily methodologic if the method in novel, if its development poses or answers important biologic questions, or if its description includes data applying it to a study of potential interest to our readership. Papers describing refinements of routine laboratory tests are not encouraged. The Journal publishes reviews and welcomes submission of review manuscripts. Both state-of-the-art comprehensive reviews, directed at research scientists in specific fields, and more general informative reviews, directed at the broader community of biomedical science investigators, are welcome. Authors of reviews should realize that the Journal is multidisciplinary and that review articles for such a journal require appropriate interpretive material. Clarity of resentation is a major criterion for acceptance. Submission of a manuscript implies that it is not being considered concurrently for publication elsewhere.

Journal of the Korean Astronomical SocietyJ Korean Astron Soc

KAS started as a sole publication of the Korean Astronomical Society (KAS) in 1967. In the first years, the journal was published once a year and papers were written in either English or Korean. Because the KAS itself was very small at that time, the number of papers was very small. As the community grew, the volume steadily increased. In 1986, the JKAS shifted to an English-only publication, as the KAS started a new publication called The publication of the Korean Astronomical Society (PKAS) which published articles written in either English or Korean. The frequency of publication was increased to twice a year in 1989, with the new design of the cover. The paper size of the journal has also changed from B5 to A4. The number of papers in JKAS increased steadily, and reached its local maximum in 1997, thanks to the increasing size of the community as well as improvement of research environment in general.
