It can power wind turbines that generate electricity to power nearby homes and business’.

Wind turbine- a turbine having a large vaned wheel rotated by the wind to generate electricity.

When the wind blows it turns the blades of the wind turbine, the blades spin a generator the produces electricity.

+Disadvantages 1. Wind can be powerful and destructive like a hurricane

2. Turbines can only produce power when the wind blows

4. The strength of the wind is not constant and it various from zero to storm force. This means that wind turbines do not produce the same amount of electricity all the time.

5. Win turbines are noisy. Each one can generate the same level of noise as a family car traveling at 70 mph.
