Dr. Seuss Grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was born March 2, 1904. His Real name is Theodor Seuss Geisel. The reason he was called “ Dr. Seuss” is because at his first collage Dartmouth he worked for the schools humor magazine called Jack-o-lantern. He soon got punished. But he loved working for Jack-o-Lantern so much he started signing it with fake names such as Dr. Seuss because it is his middle name.
