How do I fix comma splice and run-ons?

Three options:1. Use a period to separate the sentences.2. Use short joining words and a comma to combine the two sentences.3. Use a semi-colon with long joining words to combine the two sentences.

Rule: Two complete related sentences can be joined by a comma and a short joining word.
