Berlin in winter is colder than most other big German cities – when travelling there, a big, cozy shawl
(100” x 22”) like this will come in handy! The beautiful colors are reminiscent of bright city lights in dark
winter nights. The shape of this shawlette is an asymmetrical, long triangle, formed by rows that are
getting longer and longer as you go. They are worked in different simple, but very effective patterns that
make them look a little like a skyline of tall houses. These skyscrapers are not built with bricks, but
concrete and steel – hence the name, “Brickless.” And also: No more bricks in the wall that used to
divide Berlin. This class will be taught by Yarnista & Cable Queen Janice Feld who will lead you through
the third in this series of Behm’s wonders: 10 am to 12 pm on Wednesdays, March 21 & 28, OR 1 to 3

You know you have one: that skein of hand-painted yarn or gorgeously crazy variegated yarn you fell in
love with & purchased! It’s been sitting in your stash and you’ve
never been able to find the right project for it. Meet Garden
Party! This pattern, DESIGNED BY MARIE GREENE, ONE OF OUR
FEATURED DESIGNERS AT OUR INAUGURAL RETREAT, was
designed to strategically make use of a variegated yarn that can
be gorgeous in the skein but difficult to pair with a perfect
pattern. This design highlights that Oh So Special Yarn while
adding a bit of all-over texture with eyelet blossoms. The borders
create an anchor to contain the color. (And the border doesn’t
take much, so you might already have a solid in your stash that
compliments.)

tangled balls of yarn and pesky tails. And better still, brioche
fabric is truly as squishy and luxurious as its namesake, the light
and buttery brioche bun, making it just right for cozy cold
weather accessories. WE REQUIRE THE BRIOCHE TECHNIQUE
