This Weeks Focus

This week we had a blast doing lots of fun things! We got to do a science experiment, where we made a hypothesis about what would happen if the gingerbread boy really went into the river. The students made bubble maps and used adjectives to describe things relating to December. At centers the students LOVED playing in Mrs. Moores bakery, where they were baking with fresh gingerbread dough, and making pretend cookies.

We finished writing our gingerbread stories and got to hear the story Polar Express read by a conductor. We are working hard on learning to retell a story by telling what the main idea was and some of the details from the story or informational text. We practiced counting syllables using Plickers and played a gingerbread sight word game. We played all school winter bingo and ended our week with our winter party!

Thank you to all the parents who volunteered for the party before, after, or during, it was a blast!

Please check your childs rocket folder daily for papers and info!

We will gladly take index cards, Dixie cups, Ziploc bags and Tree Nut/Peanut free snacks (especially snacks that werent produced in the same facility as nuts)!
