Using layers in Photoshop

I have selected 2 images that I think will work well together when layered to make 1 image. They both have the same texture but a different contrast in colour.

Using the selector tool I have highlighted the area that I want to copy onto the other image. To move the image onto the other you need to select edit and then copy.

To put the two images together you need to select edit and paste. This will put the image directly on top of the other.

I have changed the opacity to 70%
