Meaning that once again we take the Super Club title – well done to all of those who competed, officiated and supported!

The club’s senior and youth teams are now off to the World Championships in Montpellier, France - we wish them good luck and hope they have a great time!

Remember that 8 of our club members have also been selected to compete for the GB team in the festival, so continue to watch Facebook and the website for details of their progress.

The Annual AGM was held this week and members have voted on the following officers for the coming year:

It is hoped that our current Head instructor (Jock) can be persuaded to continue but that does leave some important roles outstanding. The club urgently needs someone to raise the profile of the club and market our new facilities. To that aim we would like to ask if there is anyone out there who would be prepared to step forward and be a Marketing/Press Officer for the club. Please ask around and talk to friends as there may be someone out there just looking for a suitable challenge. Ask them to speak to someone on the executive committee if they would like more information. There are also other opportunities to get involved in the organisation of the club and other roles which need filing, please again ask for more information. Do you like cake? Do you like baking? Are you one of the lovely people who help out regularly in the kitchen at the club? Would you like to help out in the kitchen at the club?

On Thursday 18th September at 7.30pm there will be a meeting in the clubhouse for all of those who could answer YES to any of the above questions.

An issue raised at the AGM was the lack of understanding of the new kitchen protocol and usage. To that end as well as comparing and eating cake there will be a very short presentation briefly explaining the necessary kitchen policy.

Please come along – it will be fun, won’t last too long, and we might even open the bar! Wine and cake – my idea of heaven!!!!
