Warm up:T-L
I greet my students and then I speak about French and its alphabet drawing their attention to the fact that English also has the exact number of these letters, but the difference lies in how to pronounce them.
I highlight the letters which are pronounced differently compared with the French ones. There are 26 letters in the English alphabet.
I make sure that they have learnt the correct way of writing French alphabet (capital and small letters) and they should write them in same way in English.
To make learners aware of the similarities between the two languages that would encourage them to learn it without being afraid. To make them familiar with new sound system of English.
Visual :White BoardAudio: Mp3 Song of French Alphabet and then English Alphabet.
