We are so honored to have two special instructors teaching classes this October! Amy Flowers and Nora Bebee! Amy is a nationally recognized artist and is visiting from Ohio! Nora has had quilts hanging in Houston for many years and is a fiber artist nationally recognized over and over again. She lives here in New Mexico and we are very honored to have her teach here at Quilts Ole.

If you have never tried a braid technique, its one you will love to have in your repertoire! Easy to expand to make an entire quilt!

Saturday, October 24 th : Special Guest Instructor: Amy Flowers: “Woven Text Panel Collage”9:00 am to 12:00 pmClass Fee: $45.00 ( Includes all supplies)Create a stunning dimensional collage on artist's unstretched canvas in this class, featuring light molding paste, rubber stamps, beautiful fabric, gauze and the new Inktense color blocks from Derwent!  Explore dreamy color effects with light

molding paste and an acrylic paint "float" technique. Play with Inktense blocks to create gorgeous color washes that become permanent when dry--we'll dip n' dunk our fabric & gauze with puddles of ink.  Finish it all with metallics to accent all the texture and color within--definitely too cool for words!

Saturday, October 24 th : Special Guest Instructor: Amy Flowers: “She’s Come Undone”1:00 pm to 4:00 pmClass Fee: $45.00 (Includes all supplies)…Undone over a book, that is! Join us for an unstructured book making class, exploring the world of canvas cloth books. We’ll use various weights of canvas duck (the fabric, not the fowl) to create a book that invites the viewer inward. You’ll work with fabric paint & mediums; then add to the surface with stamps, fiber, beading, collage & word play. Experiment with unique page sizes, layout, binding & windows for added interest & textures…then bundle the whole book up with custom dyed ribbon!

Quilts Olé Class PolicyWe have a NO Cancellation Policy for classes. If you sign up and pay for the class, we’ll hold the class as scheduledno matter the class size. Payment in full is required to reserve a seat in the class. Class fees are non-refundable unless student cancels minimally one full week notice prior to the scheduled class, in which case a substitute date for a future class can be reserved. If, no further class date can be arranged, we will issue a store credit for the class fee, but not a cash refund. If a class date is cancelled by the student within 7 days of the class date, another date may be offered, but no store credit or cash refund will be given. Please come to class fully prepared and ready to sew! Supply lists are provided at time of registration. ** Students receive a 15% discount for purchases of materials for a class and also a 15% discount on class day for any purchases.
