October 2016 Dear Parents, Last year I was contacted by the ‘The Parliamentary Review’ team and asked to write an article celebrating and highlighting best practice at Blackheath Primary School as we had been selected for our consistently strong results and the rapid improvement we have made over the last three years. Attached is a copy of the whole document. You will find our school on page 55. In July, we took a whole school photo in the shape of the word RESPECT. I am sure your child/ren will be able to tell you where they were sat! A copy of this review is sent to all primary schools and Members of Parliament. Towards the end of August, we received an invitation for myself and our Deputy Headteachers, Mrs McElwee and Mr Hytch, to attend an evening at the Houses of Parliament representing Blackheath Primary school. On Friday 23rd September, we attended the Parliamentary Review Gala evening along with a small number of other schools and received the final published document. It was a pleasure to represent our school at a national level. Since the review, we have already had 3 schools who would like to come and visit us. I very much look forward to another year working in partnership with governors, our dedicated staff and wonderful children. Thank you everyone for your input into our successful journey. Dear Parents,
Last year I was contacted by the ‘The Parliamentary Review’ team and asked to write an article celebrating and highlighting best practice at Blackheath Primary School as we had been selected for our consistently strong results and the rapid improvement we have made over the last three years.
Attached is a copy of the whole document. You will find our school on page 55. In July, we took a whole school photo in the shape of the word RESPECT.
