(Ezek 28:15 KJV) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Iniquity, H5766. 'evel, eh'-vel; or 'avel, aw'-vel; and (fem.) 'avlah, av-law'; or 'owlah, o-law'; or 'olah, o-law'; from H5765; (moral) evil:--iniquity, perverseness, unjust (-ly), unrighteousness (-ly), wicked (-ness).

The Entrance of Sin into the Cosmos, God’s Kingdom and the UniverseThis is known as the “original sin.” Scripture indicates there was an angelic throng in God’s kingdom during the period of time of the great gap, that is, between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 . It also seems to indicate there was a creation on the earth at that time and there was a hierarchy of leadership and worship through the angelic line.

Chart: The Great Gap of TimeThere was a personage, known as Lucifer, who ruled this kingdom for God. He was the “Anointed Cherub that covereth.” God seemed to put all his creative ability into this personage yet, iniquity was found in him. This is called the “mystery of iniquity” as in contrast with the “mystery of godliness.”

(2 Th 2:7 KJV) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Iniquity, G458. anomia, an-om-ee'-ah; from G459; illegality, i.e. violation of law or (gen.) wickedness:--iniquity, X transgress (-ion of) the law, unrighteousness.

G459. anomos, an'-om-os; from G1 (as a neg. particle) and G3551; lawless, i.e. (neg.) not subject to (the Jewish) law; (by impl. a Gentile), or (pos.) wicked:--without law, lawless, transgressor, unlawful, wicked.

(1 Tim 3:16 KJV) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Without controversy, G3672. homologoumenos, hom-ol-og-ow-men'-oce; adv. of pres. pass. part. of G3670; confessedly:--without controversy.

(homos, “same,” lego, “to speak”, or simply “to speak the same thing, there is no debate.)Great, G3173. megas, meg'-as [includ. the prol. forms, fem. megale, plur. megaloi, etc.; comp. also G3176, G3187]; big (lit. or fig., in a very wide application):--(+ fear) exceedingly, great (-est), high, large, loud, mighty, + (be) sore (afraid), strong, X to years.Godliness, G2150. eusebeia, yoo-seb'-i-ah; from G2152; piety; spec. the gospel scheme:--godliness, holiness.World, G2889. kosmos, kos'-mos; prob. from the base of G2865; orderly arrangement, i.e. decoration; by impl. the world (in a wide or narrow sense, includ. its inhab., lit. or fig. [mor.]):--adorning, world.

Sin’s Entrance – Lucifer, the Anointed Cherub(Ezek 28:12 KJV) Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.(Ezek 28:13 KJV) Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

This is when and where “first sin” entered into God’s Kingdom and Universe. We must understand that this personage was a created individual. He was created by God but did not have the substance of God in him. This is very important to understand when we get to the redemption of man. We will find that God had a marvelous plan in the redemption of man and that was to impart to man a part of Himself, the Divine Nature, so man would never sin again.

Let us look at the doctrine of Satan so that we can have a grasp on our “Adversary” for that is what his name means.

Doctrine of SatanAngels seem to be present at the creation of the heaven and earth.

(Job 38:4 KJV) Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.(Job 38:5 KJV) Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?(Job 38:6 KJV) Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;(Job 38:7 KJV) When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Morning, H1242. boqer, bo'-ker; from H1239; prop. dawn (as the break of day); gen. morning:-- (+) day, early, morning, morrow.

The creation of the angels is referred to in the Psalms:(Psa 148:1 KJV) Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.(Psa 148:2 KJV) Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.(Psa 148:3 KJV) Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.(Psa 148:4 KJV) Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.(Psa 148:5 KJV) Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

The Existence of SatanThe primary witness to the existence of Satan is the testimony of scripture. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament affirm his existence. The presence of evil in the world that we experience is an affirmation of what the scriptures say. It is clear that the first mention of Satan as the Serpent is in Genesis 3:15 and is called by that title in Revelation 12:

(Gen 3:1 KJV) Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

(Rev 12:7 KJV) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,(Rev 12:8 KJV) And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.(Rev 12:9 KJV) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.(Rev 12:10 KJV) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.(Rev 12:11 KJV) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.(Rev 12:12 KJV) Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Although the name Satan is not used in Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28, these passages are understood by most evangelical scholars to refer to Satan in his original state and his subsequent fall.

The Names of Satan5

The Personality of SatanSatan has “personhood,” or simply, he is a person. He has a personality. He has self-awareness (Mat. 4:9), self-expression (Isa. 14:13-14), moral awareness (Mat. 4:1) and perpetuity (Rev. 20:10).Here are three major features of Satan’s personality as described in scriptures:

IntellectSatan is very deceitful and crafty in his work. He therefore has the ability to think and plan his course of action in deceiving people.

(Eph 6:11 KJV) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Wiles, G3180. methodeia, meth-od-i'-ah; from a comp. of G3326 and G3593 [comp. "method"]; travelling over, i.e. travesty (trickery):--wile, lie in wait.

His knowledge and facility with Scripture (in deception) illustrates his intellect.(Mat 4:5 KJV) Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,(Mat 4:6 KJV) And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

9

Page 10:  · Web viewFILE:GOD4A18Notes GRACE ASSEMBLY, SAN DIEGO, CA 4-A-GAC-01-26-18 Study Outline The Authority of God’s Word God’s Foreknowledge and Predestination In the Beginning

EmotionSatan’s emotion is seen in his desire to exalt himself above the rule of God (Isa. 14:12-17) in his expression of his “I will’s.”

Satan vents great wrath when he know his time is short.(Rev 12:12 KJV) Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.(Rev 12:17 KJV) And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

His ActionsSatan speaks:

(Job 1:9 KJV) Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?(Job 1:10 KJV) Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Satan tempts: (Mat 4:3 KJV) And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

Satan plans:(Eph 6:11 KJV) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Satan accuses believers:(Rev 12:10 KJV) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Satan deceives:(1 Pet 5:8 KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

All these actions demonstrate that Satan has personhood.

Satan’s Original StateEzekiel describes Satan prior to his fall. He enjoyed an exalted position in the presence of God. The beauty and glories of heaven was his surroundings:

(Ezek 28:13 KJV) Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

He was called the “anointed cherub that covereth” that seemed to be the highest position of honor before God:

(Ezek 28:14 KJV) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

10

Page 11:  · Web viewFILE:GOD4A18Notes GRACE ASSEMBLY, SAN DIEGO, CA 4-A-GAC-01-26-18 Study Outline The Authority of God’s Word God’s Foreknowledge and Predestination In the Beginning

Covereth, H5526. cakak, saw-kak'; or sakak (Exod. 33 : 22), saw-kak'; a prim. root; prop. to entwine as a screen; by impl. to fence in, cover over, (fig.) protect:--cover, defence, defend, hedge in, join together, set, shut up.

As Heylel, he was the “protector” of God’s “Mountain of Holiness.” He “walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.” He was not to allow anything to pollute the place of abode.

Isaiah refers to this angel as “Heylel Ben Shachar,” or “Shining One, son of the dawn.”(Isa 14:12 KJV) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Lucifer, H1966. heylel, hay-lale'; from H1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning-star:--lucifer.Son, H1121. ben, bane; from H1129; a son (as a builder of the family name), in the widest sense (of lit. and fig. relationship, including grandson, subject, nation, quality or condition, etc., [like H1, H251, etc.]):-- Morning, H7837. shachar, shakh'-ar; from H7836; dawn (lit., fig. or adv.):--day (-spring), early, light, morning, whence riseth.

All new Bible versions translate “Heylel Ben Shachar” as “O morning star, son of the dawn.” Lucifer was a Roman deity and was used to describe “Venus” which is the “morning star.” This was used for “Heylel” which means “Shining One.” Thus, “Lucifer” became known as the “morning star.” This confuses Lucifer with Christ who is the only “Bright and Morning Star.”

The Personage, Satan, and His Exalted PlaceThere are two places in scripture that gives us the best description of this personage, Satan. They are located in Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14. Ezekiel speaks of three things in chapters 26, 27 and 28. They are the place called “Tyrus,” the “Prince of Tyrus,” and the “King of Tyrus.” These chapters are full of history and mystery, and of prophetic importance. Tyrus stands as a type of an immense world order involving all that such a system entails. Our interest is in the King of Tyrus. It is obvious that this description transcends any such historical king. It describes Satan at the time of his great sin.

(Ezek 28:12 KJV) Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.(Ezek 28:13 KJV) Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.(Ezek 28:14 KJV) Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.(Ezek 28:15 KJV) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.(Ezek 28:16 KJV) By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.(Ezek 28:17 KJV) Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

(Ezek 28:18 KJV) Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.(Ezek 28:19 KJV) All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Sin first entered into God’s Kingdom and Universe through this personage, the “anointed cherub that covereth.” We must understand that this personage was a created individual. He was created by God but did not have the substance of God in him.

This is very important to understand when we get to the redemption of man. We will find that God had a marvelous plan in the redemption of man and that was to impart to man a part of Himself, the Divine Nature, so man would never sin again.

The Effect on Creation Due to the Entrance of SinI would like to spend a few moments and deal with the question “What happened to God’s creation when sin entered into Heylel and God’s Kingdom ?”

God is not a God of “disorder or chaos” yet we find right at the start of His revelation to us in Genesis 1:2, that the earth was “in chaos.”

(Gen 1:2 KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Without form, H8414. tohuw, to'-hoo; from an unused root mean. to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), i.e. desert; fig. a worthless thing; adv. in vain:--confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.Void, H922. bohuw, bo-hoo; from an unused root (mean. to be empty); a vacuity, i.e. (superficially) an undistinguishable ruin:--emptiness, void.

Yet we know also by the scriptures that “In the beginning” the earth was not “tohoo” or “boohoo.”

(Gen 1:1 KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

(Isa 45:18 KJV) For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

Vain, H8414. tohuw, to'-hoo; from an unused root mean. to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), i.e. desert; fig. a worthless thing; adv. in vain:--confusion, empty place, without form, nothing, (thing of) nought, vain, vanity, waste, wilderness.

Therefore, since in the beginning when God created the earth, it was “not tohoo” or “not in vain, not a waste, not an empty place,” then something caused it to become such. That cause was Lucifer’s sin!

The Pre-Adamic EarthThere has been much speculation concerning the Pre-Adamic Earth and whether there was life, or a civilization on the earth before the time of Lucifer’s sin.

The scriptures give us glimpses into this time but not enough of a view to prove beyond a shadow of doubt. Since we hold to “an old earth” view and a gap between Genesis 1:1 and

1:2, this opens the door to “was there life then.” Jeremiah gives us some insight in chapter 4. There is impending doom by the Babylonian onslaught. Israel is rebellious and living in wickedness. The Lord begs them to return to Him:

(Jer 4:1 KJV) If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.(Jer 4:2 KJV) And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.(Jer 4:3 KJV) For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns.(Jer 4:4 KJV) Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

The Babylonian army is about to invade from the north as a lion springs from the thicket.(Jer 4:5 KJV) Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.(Jer 4:6 KJV) Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.

(Jer 4:7 KJV) The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant.(Jer 4:8 KJV) For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

The anger of the Lord is kindled against Israel. There is a hint of the last days here as well.

(Jer 4:13 KJV) Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

Now we see the great anguish through the Prophet in the heart of the Lord. Destruction is on its way. He has seen it before. His people are foolish.

(Jer 4:19 KJV) My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.(Jer 4:20 KJV) Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment.(Jer 4:21 KJV) How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet?(Jer 4:22 KJV) For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

The Lord then recalls the rebellion of the primeval age. His heart burns with anguish at rebellion as he revisits the rebellion of Lucifer and the primeval earth

(Jer 4:23 KJV) I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.

Page 14:  · Web viewFILE:GOD4A18Notes GRACE ASSEMBLY, SAN DIEGO, CA 4-A-GAC-01-26-18 Study Outline The Authority of God’s Word God’s Foreknowledge and Predestination In the Beginning

Sounds just like Genesis 1:2.(Gen 1:2 KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

Sounds like Genesis 1:2,3: “And they had no light.”(Gen 1:2 KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.(Gen 1:3 KJV) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God recalls His fierce anger at the sin of Lucifer and those that followed him. Man has disappeared, the birds have fled and the cities broken down.

(Jer 4:24 KJV) I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.(Jer 4:25 KJV) I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.(Jer 4:26 KJV) I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.

There had to be a garden of Eden then as well. “The fruitful place as a wilderness.”

If this was, as it appears to be, an account of the destruction of the Pre-Adamic Earth, then the Pre-Adamic Earth was inhabited, and its inhabitants dwelt in cities. God’s fierce anger destroyed it all.

Peter gives us further insight. The way in which the Pre-Adamic Earth was made “bohoo and tohoo” is clearly stated.

(2 Pet 3:3 KJV) Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,(2 Pet 3:4 KJV) And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.(2 Pet 3:5 KJV) For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:(2 Pet 3:6 KJV) Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

It is clear here that Peter is not referring to the flood of Noah’s day, for the world of Noah’s day did not perish. Only man perished except “eight souls saved by water” and the earth was still inhabitable.Peter goes on to say that the present heavens and earth “WHICH ARE NOW” are reserved for destruction by fire.

(2 Pet 3:7 KJV) But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

So, the manner in which the Pre-Adamic Earth was made “without form, and void” was by WATER. There had to be a great cataclysmic shaking. Jeremiah said so:

(Jer 4:24 KJV) I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.Trembled, H7493. ra'ash, raw-ash; a prim. root; to undulate (as the earth, the sky, etc.; also a field of grain), partic. through fear; spec. to spring (as a locust):--make afraid, (re-) move, quake, (make to) shake, (make to) tremble.

Now, let’s read concerning this personage that brought chaos and destruction to the “heavens (that) were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Sin first entered into God’s Kingdom and Universe through this personage, the “anointed cherub that covereth.” We must understand that this personage was a created individual. He was created by God but did not have the substance of God in him.

This is very important to understand when we get to the redemption of man. We will find that God had a marvelous plan in the redemption of man and that was to impart to man a part of Himself, the Divine Nature, so man would never sin again.

Satan’s Fall, The Sin of Independence from God – The Five “I Wills”Isaiah gives us the account of Lucifer and the mystery of iniquity that was within him. That iniquity was the “sin of independence.” Independence is the sin of “I will” against “God’s Will.” This was the beginning of the establishment of the “Old Creation” that must be done away with. This is what Christ did on the cross!

(Isa 14:12 KJV) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!14:13 KJV) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:(Isa 14:14 KJV) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.(Isa 14:15 KJV) Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.(Isa 14:16 KJV) They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;(Isa 14:17 KJV) That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Sin broke out in the mountain of God! In His very presence! Therefore, the heavenly sanctuary had to be purged with a “better sacrifice.” God’s judicial system required cleansing of this sin and a payment made for this sin. Only God could provide the kind of sacrifice necessary.

So God, Himself, gave of Himself that His justice would be satisfied and His holy nature vindicated.

(Heb 9:23 KJV) It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.(Heb 9:24 KJV) For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

Judgment of SatanThe judgment of Satan is centered on the cross. Man was created in the image of God, a sinless being, but capable of falling. Man fell and became the most important part of Satan’s kingdom. Satan had the power of death over the kingdom of man but Christ rendered Satan powerless by partaking of humanity and through his substitutionary death He put away this part of Satan’s kingdom. This power of death was broken through Christ.

(Heb 2:9 KJV) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.(Heb 2:10 KJV) For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.(Heb 2:11 KJV) For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,(Heb 2:12 KJV) Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.(Heb 2:13 KJV) And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.(Heb 2:14 KJV) Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Satan Cast Out – One, Two, Three Strikes– You’re out SatanThere are three stages of putting Satan away forever. First, he is cast out of the presence of God, Second, he is cast from the second heavens to the earth and put in the pit, Third, he is cast into the Lake of Fire.

Strike One, cast out of the presence of God in the third heaven:(Ezek 28:16 KJV) By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Profane, H2490. chalal, khaw-lal'; a prim. root [comp. H2470]; prop. to bore, i.e. (by impl.) to wound, to dissolve; fig. to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one's word), to begin (as if by an "opening wedge"); denom. (from H2485) to play (the flute):--begin (X men began), defile, X break, defile, X eat (as common things), X first, X gather the grape thereof, X take inheritance, pipe, player on instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound.

Profane: means “to pollute” or “showing disrespect or contempt for sacred things.”

The “mountain of God” is the place of God’s throne. It is located in the “third heaven.” The apostle Paul speaks of this when he was caught up to the third heaven.

(2 Cor 12:1 KJV) It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.(2 Cor 12:2 KJV) I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.(2 Cor 12:3 KJV) And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)(2 Cor 12:4 KJV) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

Paradise, G3857. paradeisos, par-ad'-i-sos; of Oriental or. [comp. H6508]; a park, i.e. (spec.) an Eden (place of future happiness, "paradise"):--paradise.

Strike Two, he is cast from the second heavens to the earth and confined in the pit:

16

Page 17:  · Web viewFILE:GOD4A18Notes GRACE ASSEMBLY, SAN DIEGO, CA 4-A-GAC-01-26-18 Study Outline The Authority of God’s Word God’s Foreknowledge and Predestination In the Beginning

(Ezek 28:17 KJV) Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

In the spiritual realm I believe we are witnessing this step even as we speak. This is part of the “erchomai” of the Lord, “Behold He Cometh.” The Lord is in the process of cleansing the heavens now, is on His way, and is removing Satan from the Sides of the North.

Chart: His ErchomaiFinally there will be warfare in the middle of the Tribulation week between Michael and his angels and Satan and his angels. Satan and his angels will be cast to the earth.(Rev 12:7 KJV) And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,(Rev 12:8 KJV) And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.(Rev 12:9 KJV) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

He is cast into the Bottomless Pit and shut up for 1000 years:(Rev 20:1 KJV) And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.(Rev 20:2 KJV) And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,(Rev 20:3 KJV) And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Strike Three, cast into the Lake of Fire:(Ezek 28:19 KJV) All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

The final resting place for Satan will be the Lake of Fire:(Rev 20:10 KJV) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

After Christ’s millennial reign over the earth, Satan will be released from the Abyss and will lead a final revolt of unsaved earth dwellers against the Kingdom of God in Jerusalem. But they will be destroyed by fire, and Satan will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

God, the Father, shall be “all in all.”With the judgment of Satan, the Lord Jesus Christ will triumph gloriously for all things will have been conquered and all things will become new. Then God, the Father, will be “all in all” and the Lord Jesus Christ, as head of the New Creation race will submit Himself to the Father for the ages to come.

(1 Cor 15:24 KJV) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

(1 Cor 15:25 KJV) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.(1 Cor 15:26 KJV) The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.(1 Cor 15:27 KJV) For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.(1 Cor 15:28 KJV) And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
