jit Action Area # 1PLAN TO MULTIPLY
OverviewDo only those tasks that apply, in any order. They include discerning ripe fields to avoid working where folks do not respond, passing on spiritual DNA that assures reproduction, and agreeing in prayer on objectives and approach.

ACTIVATE YOUR TEAMOverview
Form an temporary apostolic task group of like-minded workers like Jesus and Paul did, and let its members bond lovingly with the people of a receptive community. They will focus on what Jesus said to do, help each other face obstacles and pray to the Lord of the Harvest for more workers from among the new believers.

GATHER NEW BELIEVERSOverview
Present the risen, living Christ the way the apostles did, by relating crucial historical events, letting the good news flow within existing social networks, and teaching obedience to Jesus’ commands. Follow this up with baptism, adapting worship to a tiny, closely-knit group, and doing spiritual warfare to ward off Satan’s inevitable attacks.

jit Action Area # 4
TRAIN NEW OVERSEERSOverview
Train leaders the way Jesus and Paul did, to multiply churches and cell groups, help believers use their gifts, show compassion to the needy, develop Christian character including stewardship, apply God’s Word to serve one another.

MANAGE THE MOVEMENTOverview
Arrange for churches and cells to serve each other, extend the work, reorganize when things drag and help each other defend against Satan’s attacks. Organize clusters of churches as the regional Body of Christ and help them work together and have occasional united celebrations with reports and planning.

jit TASK 1aDiscern Ripe Fields
Identify receptive people in your area and in neglected fields
TASK:Detect the people in your community and in neglected fields whom God has prepared to repent.
WHY? When Jesus said to do look on fields ready to harvest (John 4:35) he was referring to Samaritans ─ people
with whom one would not normally associate with socially. Jesus warned that it’s harder for a rich man to enter His kingdom than for a camel to pass through a needle’s
eye (Luke 18:25). Most Americans are wealthy “camels” by the world’s standards, and thus too proud to repent. Receptive people are normally the poorer, less fortunate who desperately want change.
Churches do not start multiplying among “camels,” although a camel might spark or lead the movement. The movement, once started, might in time spread among camels who are children of poor parents who were the first converts.
Jesus said to “shake the dust from our feet” where folks do not respond (Matt. 10:14) and go to those that God has prepared to receive His Son.
HOW? Paul was willing to “be all things to all people” in order to win them to Christ (1 Cor. 9:22). Avoid focusing
too exclusively on your own community or culture. Most church planters who “shake the dust” do not need to change their place of residence. They simply
focus on a poorer segment of the population that desperately wants change. Talk to folks of diverse backgrounds in a community about Jesus, and look for PERSONS OF PEACE who
open doors for you into their social network.
COMMON BARRIERS: A church planter from a church with educated, affluent members too often bonds with people of similar
background ─ camels. The alternative is to imitate Jesus who let go of His riches in glory to identify with needy men (Phil. 2:5-9).
Christian workers in an area often follow rules that impede church multiplication. Be careful not to form an alliance with them that would hinder your freedom in Christ.
