2016 Happy New Year to Everyone! 2016 promises to be an excit-

ing year! Aside from our regular agenda of activities, we will

be hosting the ITC Convention in September. This will be a

fun event, offing us the opportunity to rekindle some old

friendships and make new ones with many people whom share

our interest in Thunderbird. It is also time to get your car

ready for the event. Don’t wait until the last minute….get

started now! If you were looking for a New Year Resolution,

this could be it…..Get your Thunderbird out, come join other

club members in our normal agenda of activities and then

show your car at the ITC All Thunderbird Car Show! It is in

our ‘backyard”, so come out and simply have some fun!

Well the temperature might be dropping outside and

you may be getting your Thunderbird ready for that trip to

the ski lodge, but the Lehigh Valley Thunderbird Club is

HOT!

Some of our recent “Globe Trotters” have been talking

the club up and we have received a slew of membership

requests from around the world. Japan, Italy, Germany,

England, Peru and Cuba to name a few….so will we be

going International? Stay tuned for upcoming information!

Also, we are presently going through our membership re-

newal process and several members, both old and new,

have asked us to expand our association with other Thun-

derbird organizations. As a result, our Officers have

reached out to the other National/International clubs and

started discussions. Stay tuned….more info to come!

President’s Message

Happy New Year Fellow Members!

Denise and I hope you are having a Great Christmas Holiday Season! With the start of

each year, many of us take the time to look back and see items or areas in our life we

would like to change…..hence the “New Year Resolution” or as Denise will tell you

“Resolutions” in my case. Well, after looking back this past year, helping both my kids with

their homes, my daughter’s wedding, the six local and national High School Automotive

Competitions and working in NYC each day, my one resolution is to simply become more

active.

Becoming more “active” certainly has different meaning for everyone of us, but for me, it

means to live my life doing more that I like to do, but also having a positive impact on those

around me. Sometimes we get into a “comfortable rut” and go along with the flow and let

life pass us by. So this year, I am trying something new, live my life and enjoy it! What

about you! You have been a member of this club for how long? When was the last time you

had your Thunderbird out? When was the last time you came to a club meeting or other

function? And my last question…..Why Not?

Denise and I sincerely wish everyone a Very Happy and Healthy New Year! While none of

us know what our destiny will actually be, my New Year Resolution is the live life as if I

stole it!

Message from the Board 2016 starts a new year and a new chapter in the history of the

Lehigh Valley Thunderbird Club. This year, as we host the 2016

ITC Convention, $2.00 from every Convention T-Shirt sold, will

go to ALZ. To booster the donation, we will be selling tickets of

chance on two Lottery Scratch Off Baskets that has been donat-

ed to the club. Each basket will contain $50.00 worth of scratch-

off tickets and the cost per chance is $1.00. We hope that the two

baskets will be a great draw and boost our donation figure to

ALZ.

This is but one way our club will be making a difference this

year! Some activities that go “unnoticed” will be expanded, such

as: Club Members judging the Greater Lehigh Valley Dealers As-

sociation High School Automotive Competition in February,

Working with the Nazareth Food Bank on collecting donations

and thru our annual Nazareth Day Car Show, donate a percent-

age of the proceeds to the LV Pediatric Cancer Center.

So Come Out! Join our efforts to make an difference in our

community!

2016 ITC Convention Update:

1) Vera Bartasavich, Bart’s wife has recently gone through extensive surgery to remove some blood clots. After-

ward she suffered internal bleeding and had to undergo emergency surgery to address the internal Bleeding.

While she is doing better, she is in ICU and needs our prayers. Please keep both Vera and Bart your prayers.

2) The Convention Schedule is just about finalized.

3) The Convention Committee has decided to donate $2.00 per Convention T-Shirt sold to Alzheimer’s Association.

The T-Shirt will be purple with the 2016 Convention Logo in white. One T-Shirt will be included in the registration

fee. We are counting on additional T-Shirt sales to support the donation. Alzheimer’s has touched most of us

through family or friends.

4) The Convention Registration Form is presently “Under Construction” and we will have it in the January/February

Script.
