• ARE YOU A FIRST-TIME GUEST WITH US this morning? Welcome to Holy Cross! Please stop by our Hospitality Table as you leave the worship area to receive a gift of thanks for worshiping with us!

• COFFEE HOUR AND SUNDAY SCHOOL are held at 9:30 a.m. (between services) in the Fireside Lounge. Please join us.

• JUST A REMINDER: Children are always welcome in worship (even if they get a little fussy sometimes). That’s why we created our Prayground. However, if you feel the need to take them out of the sanctuary, there are speakers in the lobby, so you can still participate as you’d like.

• RESTROOMS are located down both hallways outside the worship area. Look for the signs above the restroom doors.

+ Prayer of the Day The Lord be with you. And also with you. Let us pray… O God, in the transfiguration of your Son you confirmed the mysteries of the faith by the witness of Moses and Elijah, and in the voice from the bright cloud declaring Jesus your beloved Son, you foreshadowed our adoption as your children. Make us heirs with Christ of your glory, and bring us to enjoy its fullness, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

ALL ARE INVITED TO THE FEAST! As we gather at the table of the Lord today to celebrate Holy Communion, we want everyone to know that all are invited to come, eat and drink of the forgiveness God provides. You don’t have to be a member of Holy Cross, nor do you have to be Lutheran to participate with us. It is Jesus who invites all of us to come; and we invite you.

GLUTEN-FREE WAFERS AND WHITE GRAPE JUICE are available with Holy Communion, if you would prefer them. Just let the communion server know.

JOIN US FOR “FAT SUNDAY” TODAY—a party in Asel Hall at 9:30 a.m. (taking the place of Sunday School). Pancakes, sausage, games, party hats, beads, great fellowship—all wrapped up into one morning before our Lenten journey begins. Come join us!

DO YOU LIKE HAVING AN EASTER BREAKFAST SERVED ON EASTER MORNING? How much? We’re beginning our Lent & Easter planning, and are looking for some folks who would be willing to put an Easter Breakfast into the plans. If you are interested, talk to Pastor Ron or Scott Moore. Let’s get some people together & have some fun!

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

Sending

+ Sending Song: “Farewell to Alleluia” (Sung to tune #613 ELW, “Thy Holy Wings”)

(Please face the Cross as it passes)

In keeping with a venerable Christian tradition, the word “Alleluia!” will not be sung or spoken in our worship through-out the Lenten season—”buried”, as it were, until its glorious return at Easter. This song signifies our “giving up” of Allelu-ia! for Lent.
