The commit tee cord ial ly commends the Semin ary to th e confiden ce of th e Synod

and to the generous support and sympathy of the church .

Th e occas ion was memo rable as be ing th e fi rs t fin a l examin a t ion he ld in th e

n ew bui ld ings . The chu rch Should hold in grate ful memory the n ames o f Morgan

and Marquand , o f Jessup and James , by whose l i beral i ty th i s group o f bu i ld ings has

been e rec ted , and o f James B rown ,whose n oble gif t o f so en l arged an d

s t rengthened the in s t i tu t ion . For th e beau ty and conven ien ce o f the bui ld ings,and

the fac i l i t ie s afforded fo r heal th and comfor t by these des i rable s t ruc tu re s,th e church ,
