7th Grade Social Studies
Course Description
Students will be active participants instead of a passive observer, experiencing history through innovative teaching practices that include dramatic role playing, creative simulations, dynamic group projects, and writing from a historical perspective.
What will we cover?
ancient and modern times, or the medieval world:
Grades
60% Tests 20% Projects 10% Classwork (Notes) 10% Homework (Processing Assignment) There is no Extra Credit in this class!!!
However…any time you score below a 70% on a test you can complete “Test Corrections” to possibly improve your score to a 70%.
Middle School Policy:
No late work, but the 2 lowest homework scores each trimester will be dropped.
A paper or project 1 class period late will receive no higher than 75%, after that 0.
Test corrections can be made for test below a C- to bring a test up to a C- level, test corrections need to be made within 1 week of being returned
