Background/Literature Review

Dietary supplements are used additionally to food. The aim of using dietary supplements is to allow

athletes to train harder, improve performance, and recover more quickly according to an article by Human Kinetics Inc.

Although this article may not support dietary supplement intake, it surveys why the athletes are consuming them.

It discusses that the athletes believe dietary supplements help improve performance and mental awareness and also prevent illness and injuries.
