As a result of its business developments abroad, Gestedi has been establishing contacts with several construction technologies in LSF through international manufacturers. As a result, and in an effort to get on track with social housing programs in emergent countries, namely Angola, Mozambique and Brazil, and after rigorous research, Gestedi decided to set a partnership with FrameCad whose construction solutions were considered the most efficient when faced with the need for a rapid response in working conditions that often present difficult challenges. The close cooperation between Gestedi and FrameCad is currently being accomplished in projects where the potential of these technologies can easily be acknowledged as in the examples that follow. The technical solutions used respect international requirements (such as International Building Code (IBC), US Department of Housing and Steel Framing Alliance and The National Association of Steel Housing (NASH)) as far as fire, acoustic and thermal levels are concerned, always under the regulations of the countries involved. The performances of these systems optimize the construction methods that were already being applied duplicating its response rate and building capacity: - Speed in construction; - Higher resistance with less tons of steel; - Resistance and durability; - Clean working site; - Ability to manufacture on site; - No plants (machines are taken to working site); - Better thermal and acoustic rates; - Better logistics; - Higher cost reduction on transportation and working force. As exemplified below, these construction methods are the most suitable to be applied in extremely demanding environments. Example. 1 – Project with 4.000 m 2 and 22 full-time workers with 2 machines. In total, there were 200 workers participating in the production, assembly and erection of the project.

As a result of its business developments abroad, Gestedi has been establishing

contacts with several construction technologies in LSF through international

manufacturers. As a result, and in an effort to get on track with social housing

programs in emergent countries, namely Angola, Mozambique and Brazil, and after

rigorous research, Gestedi decided to set a partnership with FrameCad whose

construction solutions were considered the most efficient when faced with the need

for a rapid response in working conditions that often present difficult challenges. The

close cooperation between Gestedi and FrameCad is currently being accomplished in

projects where the potential of these technologies can easily be acknowledged as in

the examples that follow.

The technical solutions used respect international requirements (such as International

Building Code (IBC), US Department of Housing and Steel Framing Alliance and The

National Association of Steel Housing (NASH)) as far as fire, acoustic and thermal levels

are concerned, always under the regulations of the countries involved.

The performances of these systems optimize the construction methods that were

already being applied duplicating its response rate and building capacity:

- Speed in construction;

- Higher resistance with less tons of steel;

- Resistance and durability;

- Clean working site;

- Ability to manufacture on site;

- No plants (machines are taken to working site);

- Better thermal and acoustic rates;

- Better logistics;

- Higher cost reduction on transportation and working force.

As exemplified below, these construction methods are the most suitable to be applied

in extremely demanding environments.

Example. 1 – Project with 4.000 m2 and 22 full-time workers with 2 machines. In total,

there were 200 workers participating in the production, assembly and erection of the

project.

Example 2 – Project with 1800 m2 built in 18 months with a total of 4,680 tons of steel.

Example 3- Temporary housing with 960 m2 each built in a highly seismic zone.
