Director’s Corner Welcome to fall semester 2016 to all
of our McNair Scholars, faculty, staff,
and supporters of the McNair program.
As you know, this year has been a
time of transition in our program, and I
am so proud to say we have had a
wonderful and successful year. In
assuming the role of Interim Director of
the McNair Program, I have relied on
the support of our wonderful McNair
staff, the dedication and determination
of our Scholars, and the continued
collaboration with our wonderful
community of mentors and supporters.
Last semester, our Scholars presented
at our annual Research Symposium,
traveled to present their research at a
National McNair Conference, and
pursued their goals and dreams with
great determination. It has been my
honor to work with these Scholars and I
am eager to lead SHU McNair into a
new year of growth and hard work as
we continue the great traditions of this
amazing program.
I wish you all a productive and very
enjoyable fall semester!
Leah C. Mayer, M.Ed.
Interim Director
