Built to the design of John and James Adam in 1758,Paxton House is one of the finest 18th century Palladiancountry houses in Britain, with interiors by Robert Adamand an outstanding collection of Chippendale furniture.All concerts and masterclasses are held in Robert Reid'smagnificent Picture Gallery, added in 1812, which displaysover sixty paintings from the National Galleries of Scotlandby artists such as Ramsay, Raeburn and Wilkie, as well asmany of their English contemporaries.
