On Sunday September 15th, Bnai Yeshurun will have the זכות

to host Rav Herschel Schachter and Rav Mayer Twersky who will deliver shiurim especially appropriate for חדש אלול, as we approach the ימים נוראים. The TorahWeb Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, was founded in 1999 at the initiative of members of the community. Its goal is to disseminate divrei Torah and hashkafa, with special attention to contemporary religious and social issues.

The program will begin at 8:00 pm with Rav Twersky speaking on The Place of Hard Work in Avodas HaShem. Rav Twersky holds the Leib Merkin Distinguished Professorial Chair in Talmud and Jewish Philosophy at Yeshiva University’s Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary. His popular lectures emphasize a combination of conceptual analyses and ethical imperatives.

At approximately 8:45 pm, Rav Schachter’s topic will be Being A PART While Being APART: Spiritual Growth While Being in the Midst of a Confused Society. Community Announcements Rabbi Yitzchak Cohen, Rosh Yeshiva at YU, will be in

Teaneck this shabbat at Teaneck Sephard Center located at 407 Warwick Ave (entrance to basement on right side of house, take stairs down). All are welcome to come daven &/or hear the Rav speak & greet him. He will speak at all the following times: Friday: 6:55 pm, 9:00 am shabbos morning, kiddush following davening, 6:45 pm on Shabbos afternoon- Mincha, followed by seuda shelishit & arvit.

This Shabbat, following Mincha at 6:35 pm at Keter Torah, Rabbi Steven Weil will speak on "From Wall Street to Main Street to Madison Avenue." Rabbi Weil will also give the drasha at the 9:00 am minyan on "Casualties of War," & lead Daf Yomi at 5:35 pm.

Project Yechi provides financial support for families undergoing Cancer treatments. Their annual barbecue will take place Saturday night, September 14th at 9:15 pm at Keter Torah. Enjoy the evening & lend support to an organization that has helped 350 families in the USA & Israel & has paid out over 2000 rent & mortgage payments. No admission fee, ALL ARE WELCOME.

Yomim Noraim Mikvah Hours for Men 5780/2019. The Teaneck Mikvah will be open for men's use on Erev Rosh Hashanah & Erev Yom Kippur. Men will have access to 12 preparation rooms, 2 express changing areas, & 3 mikvaot. One of the three mikvaot will close at 1:00 pm on Erev Rosh Hashana in order to prepare it for immediate post Rosh Hashanah use. Kindly enter through the Main Entrance of the Mikvah. Mikvah hours are as follows: Erev Rosh Hashanah, Sunday, September 29th 5:00 am – 3:30 pm.
