PT Flora Sawita Chemindo [FSC], a wholly-owned subsidiary of PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk [BSP], aspires to be one of the leading Oleochemical producers in Indonesia.
FSC occupies an area of 10 hectares in the Tanjung Morawa industrial estate, around 20 km south east of Medan, North Sumatera. FSC’s oleochemical facility is located in the vicinity of Indonesia’s major palm oil producing area. The plant has a direct highway link to the main port of Belawan about 40 km away. This favorable geographic position will help to ensure on-time product delivery.
FSC has a production capacity of 54 thousands metric tons per year, which incorporates distillation, fractionation and dry fractionation processing units and is supported by up-to-date laboratory equipment, integrated utilities facilities and professional staff with hands on experience and industry background. All of which guarantees the production of excellent and superior quality products.
BSP, a subsidiary of the Bakrie Group, owns more than a hundred thousand hectares of oil palm plantations, mostly located on Sumatera Island, operates eight palm oil mills and one refinery plant. Having its own plantation and mills, BSP guarantees secure feedstock supply for FSC’s oleochemical plant.
